| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Proses penyerbukan sangat penting untuk menjaga kelangsungan produksi makanan dunia. Keberhasilan dalam proses penyerbukan karena dipengaruhi faktor penarik yaitu warna bunga, bentuk bunga, serbuk sari juga faktor lingkungan seperti, suhu, kelembaban, intensitas cahaya, dan pollinator. Salah satu Polinator adalah stingless bee. Salah satu jenis Stingles bee adalah Heterotrigona itama. H. itama memiliki pola perilaku yang menunjukkan kecenderungan pada sumber pakan tertentu. Kecenderungan lebah untuk mengunjungi bunga yang disukainya pada jenis tumbuhan tertentu di kenal sebagai preferensi sumber pakan. Penelitian ini Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui preferensi lebah H. itama terhadap tumbuhan berbunga di sekitar sarang dan pengaruh faktor lingkungan (suhu, kelembaban, intensitas cahaya) terhadap frekuensi kunjungan lebah H. itama pada tanaman sumber pakan pada tumbuhan berbunga di lahan pertanian desa Serang, Purbalingga. Metode penelitian dengan observasi langsung. Variabel yang diamati adalah banyaknya kunjungan jenis tanaman berbunga di sekitar sarang dan preferensi lebah H. itama pada sumber pakan. parameter frekuensi kunjungan lebah yaitu lamanya H.itama berada pada bunga tanaman, banyaknya H.itama yang hinggap pada salah satu bunga, banyaknya polen yang di bawa oleh H.itama dan polen bunga yang paling banyak dibawa H. itama adalah bunga yang paling disukai. Data yang diperoleh di analisis dengan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa preferensi lebah terhadap tumbuhan berbunga berdasarkan spectrum warna (berwarna merah, kuning, putih, oranye dan ungu), ukuran polen dan nectar. Adanya preferensi H. itama pada tumbuhan berbunga menunjukkan H. Itama memiliki preferensi pada sumber pakan tertentu. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The process of pollination is very important to maintain the continuity of world food production. Success in the pollination process is influenced by pull factors, namely flower color, flower shape, pollen as well as environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, light intensity, and pollinators. One of the pollinators is the stingless bee. One type of Stingles bee is Heterotrigona itama. H. itama has a behavior pattern that shows a tendency towards certain food sources. The tendency of bees to visit flowers they like on certain plant species is known as preference for food sources. This study The aim of this study was to determine the preference of H. itama bees for flowering plants around the hive and the influence of environmental factors (temperature, humidity, light intensity) on the frequency of visits of H. itama bees to food sources of flowering plants in the agricultural land of Serang village, Purbalingga. Research method with direct observation. The variables observed were the number of visits of flowering plant species around the hive and the preferences of H. itama bees on food sources. Parameters of the frequency of bee visits were the length of time H.itama was in plant flowers, the number of H.itama that landed on one of the flowers, the amount of pollen brought by H.itama and the most preferred flower pollen by H. itama was the most preferred flower. The data obtained in the analysis with descriptive analysis. The results showed that bees' preference for flowering plants was based on a spectrum of colors (red, yellow, white, orange and purple), pollen size and nectar. The preference of H. itama in flowering plants shows that H. itama has a preference for certain food sources.
