Sebagai upaya untuk memperkaya kosakata siswa, guru perlu memiliki metode pembelajaran yang menarik dan cocok untuk siswa. Salah satu metode pembelajaran yang menarik adalah metode hypnoteaching. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menunjukkan apakah akan ada perbedaan signifikan terhadap kosakata siswa kelas XI SMA N 3 Purwokerto tahun ajar 2022/2023 melalui pengimplementasian metode hypnoteaching. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran. Data dalam peneitian ini berupa nilai tes siswa, hasil interview, dan hasil observasi. Siswa kelas XI di SMA N 3 Purwokerto memiliki masalah dalam pelajaran bahasa Inggris mereka, yaitu kekurangan kosakata. Penelitian ini ditujukan kepada 2 grup kelas di SMA N 3 Purwokerto, kelas XI IPS 1 sebagai grup eksperimen dan kelas XI MIPA 1 sebagai grup kontrol. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode perhitungan statistik, wawancara, dan observasi dengan total 72 siswa dari 2 grup. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil yang signifikan di dalam grup eksperimen, yaitu 0.018. Selain itu, perbedaan rata – rata antara kedua grup juga dapat ditunjukkan di dalam penelitian ini. Perbedaan rata – rata dari kedua grup adalah 5.33% dengan grup eksperimen lebih besar dari grup kontrol. Di dalam wawancara, kebanyakan siswa juga menginginkan metode pembelajaran hypnoteaching untuk diimplementasikan oleh guru lain, karena menurut mereka hypnoteaching adalah metode yang menyenangkan dan tidak membosankan. Mereka mengatakan bahwa metode hypnoteaching membuat mereka lebih fokus dalam pembelajaran mereka dibandingkan dengan metode pembelajaran biasanya. Lalu di dalam observation list, terdapat juga perbedaan antara pengimplementasian metode hypnoteaching dan metode konvensional, salah satunya adalah di dalam metode konvensional tidak ada kegiatan motivasi seperti di dalam kegiatan metode hypnoteaching. Di dalam metode hypnoteaching juga terdapat cerita yang dilakukan oleh guru di awal pembelajaran untuk menarik siswa supaya lebih fokus terhadap guru. Peneliti menyarankan kepada para guru untuk mempelajari metode hypnoteaching dan implementasikan ke dalam pengajaran tiap hari supaya siswa dapat lebih aktif dan fokus dalam pembelajaran kelas sehari-hari, khususnya Bahasa Inggris. |

In an effort to enrich students' vocabulary, teachers need to have learning methods that are interesting and suitable for students. The hypnoteaching approach is one intriguing learning strategy. This study aims to show is there any different significantly in students’ vocabulary through the implementation hypnoteaching at SMA N 3 Purwokerto students in the academic year of 2022/2023. This study uses a mixed method research. The data of this research are students’ test result, result of interview, and result of observation. The absence of vocabulary in their English lessons is a difficulty for the class XI students at SMA N 3 Purwokerto. Class XI IPS 1 served as the experimental group for this study at SMA N 3 Purwokerto, and class XI MIPA 1 served as the control group. With a total of 72 students from 2 groups. This study included statistical computation techniques, interviews, and observations. According to the study's findings, the experimental group's results differ significantly from the control group's results by 0.018. Additionally, this study can also display the mean difference between the two groups. The experimental group was larger than the control group, with a mean difference of 5.33% between the two groups. In the interviews, most students expressed a desire for other professors to employ the hypnoteaching teaching style since, in their opinion, it was entertaining and not at all tedious. In comparison to the traditional teaching style, they claimed that hypnoteaching helped them become more focused learners. The implementation of the hypnoteaching method and the conventional method also differ from one another in the observation list. One of which is that there aren't any motivational activities like there are in the hypnoteaching method in the conventional approach. A narrative is also told by the instructor at the start of class as part of the hypnoeducational method to get the students' attention. The researcher suggests other teachers to learn about hypnoteaching method and implement it to the class so that the students will be more active and focus in daily learning, especially English. |
