| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul Subtitling Strategy and Readability of Directive Speech Act in Genshin Impact Prologue Chapter Subtitle. Berdasarkan strategi subtitling oleh Gottlieb (1992), penilaian kualitas terjemahan oleh Nababan (2012), dan teori directive speech act John Searle (1976), penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dan menganalisis aspek-aspek tersebut dalam subtitle bab prolog video game Genshin Impact. Data dikumpulkan dari subtitle prolog video game Genshin Impact. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif serta metode total sampling untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Berdasarkan hasil temuan dan pembahasan, ditemukan 5 jenis directive speech act, 7 dari 10 strategi subtitling yang diterapkan, dan tingkat keterbacaan terjemahan dapat dibaca. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study is entitled Subtitling Strategy and Readability of Directive Speech Act in Genshin Impact Prologue Chapter Subtitle. Based on subtitling strategy by Gottlieb (1992), translation quality assessment by Nababan (2012), and directive speech act theory by John Searle (1976), this study aims to identify and analyze those aspect in video game Genshin Impact prologue chapter subtitle. The data were gathered from subtitle of prologue chapter of video game Genshin Impact. This research is conducted by using descriptive qualitative and quantitative method, also with total sampling method for answering the research questions. According to the finding and discussion, there are 5 types of directive speech act that found, 7 of 10 strategies of subtitling that applied, and the readability level of the translation is readable. |
