| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui fungsi bahasa berdasarkan Jakobson (1960) dan konteks oleh Hymes (1974) yang digunakan dalam postingan Twitter @onlyjiungs. Data penelitian ini adalah postingan Twitter dari akun Twitter @onlyjiungs, menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dan purposive sampling untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa fungsi referensial adalah yang paling sering digunakan di antara 31 data (14 ucapan, atau 45,2%), diikuti oleh fungsi ekspresif (11 ucapan, atau 35,5%), fungsi fatis (2 ucapan, atau 6,4 %), fungsi metalingual (0%), fungsi konatif (2 tuturan, atau 6,4%), dan fungsi puitis (2 tuturan, atau 6,4%). Tweet dari @onlyjiungs berisi setiap kriteria dari teori konteks SPEAKING Hymes (1974), menunjukkan bahwa konteks SPEAKING pada posting Twitter dari @onlyjiungs memenuhi semua elemen komponennya. @onlyjiungs ingin membagikan tweetnya dengan pengikutnya dengan mereka sebagai pembaca dan dirinya sebagai penulis. Kemudian, postingan Twitter diambil dari September 2021 hingga Oktober 2021. Bagian terakhir dari hasil postingan Twitter dimaksudkan untuk mewakili dan mengungkapkan tujuan dari tweet @onlyjiungs. Kemudian, pembaharuan dari @onlyjiung tentang kehidupan Jiung termasuk aksi sosial lainnya. Dari cuitan tersebut, @onlyjiungs menyoroti pesan tertentu yang ia ungkapkan. Tweet @onlyjiungs juga kebanyakan ditulis dengan gaya informal karena ditujukan untuk remaja seusia mereka. Norma tentang posting Twitter tersebut sebagian besar berfokus pada menjelaskan objek dan pesan dari pesan-pesan Twitter tersebut. Terakhir, genre, karena postingan Twitter tersebut terutama memberikan informasi kepada pengikut @onlyjiungs sebagai pembaca, jenis ucapan dari postingan tersebut cenderung memiliki fungsi referensial yang lebih kuat. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research aims to determine the language function based on Jakobson (1960) and the context by Hymes (1974) used in @onlyjiungs Twitter posts. The data for this research are Twitter posts from @onlyjiungs Twitter account, used descriptive qualitative method and purposive sampling to answer the research questions. The result of the analysis showed that Referential function is the most frequently used among the 31 data (14 utterances, or 45,2%), followed by Expressive function (11 utterances, or 35,5%), Phatic function (2 utterances, or 6,4%), Metalingual function (0%), Conative function (2 utterances, or 6,4%), and Poetic function (2 utterances, or 6,4%). The tweets from @onlyjiungs contain every criterion from Hymes's (1974) theory of context SPEAKING, indicating that context SPEAKING on a Twitter post from @onlyjiungs satisfies all of its component elements. The account under a name @onlyjiungs wants to share her tweets with her followers. The Participants of this post are @onyjiungs as the writer and her followers as readers. Then, the Twitter posts are taken from September 2021 until October 2021. The last parts of the Twitter post results intend to represent and express the aims of @onlyjiungs' tweets. Then, an update from @onlyjiung about Jiung’s life includes other social acts. From the tweets, @onlyjiungs highlights a specific message that she expressed. @onlyjiungs tweets are also mostly written in an informal style as they are aimed at teenagers their age. The Norm about the Twitter posts mostly focuses on explaining the object and the message from those Twitter messages. Finally, the Genre, since those Twitter posts primarily provide @onlyjiungs' followers with information as readers, the types of utterances from those posts tend to have a stronger Referential function. |
