| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang. Penelitian berjudul “Pengaruh Suplementasi Selenium Anorganik terhadap Bobot dan Haugh Unit Telur Ayam Niaga Petelur”. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh selenium anorganik dalam pakan ayam niaga petelur terhadap bobot dan haugh unit telur ayam niaga petelur. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 8 minggu di Experimental Farm dan Laboratorium Produksi Ternak Unggas Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi dan Metode. Materi penelitian menggunakan 80 ekor ayam niaga petelur strain Hyline umur 35 minggu, selenium anorganik berupa natrium selenite produksi CV. Vemetro Putra, pakan jadi ayam periode layer dengan kode L83-1 A untuk umur 19–50 minggu produksi PT. New Hope Indonesia dengan kandungan nutrien: kadar air 13%, protein kasar 16,5%, lemak 3%, serat kasar 7%, Ca 3,25–4,25%, P 0,6%, aflatoksin total 5μg/kg, lisin 0,8%, metionin 0,4%, metionin+lisin 0,67%, tryptophan 0,18%, treonin 0,55%, dan energi total 2750 kkal/kg. Penelitian menggunakan metode experimen dengan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 level penambahan natrium selenite yaitu B0= pakan basal (kontrol); B₁= 0,2 mg natrium selenite dalam 1 kg pakan basal; B₂= 0,4 mg natrium selenite dalam 1 kg pakan basal; B₃= 0,6 mg natrium selenite dalam 1 kg pakan basal. Setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam niaga petelur dan setiap perlakuan diulang 5 kali. Variabel yang diukur yaitu bobot dan haugh unit telur ayam niaga petelur. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis variansi (ANAVA), apabila berpengaruh nyata maka dilanjutkan uji orthogonal polynomial. Hasil. Bobot telur ayam niaga petelur yang disuplementasi natrium selenite dalam pakan sebanyak 0,2 mg/kg (62,11±2,09 g) dan 0,4 mg/kg (62,82±2,53 g) pakan menghasilkan bobot telur yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan pakan kontrol (61,14±1,68 g) dan 0,6 mg/kg pakan (60,37±3,14 g). Nilai haugh unit telur yang disuplementasi natrium selenite dalam pakan sebanyak 0,2 mg/kg (101,15±1,45), 0,4 mg/kg (100,69±1,76) dan 0,6 mg/kg (101,42±3,66) menghasilkan nilai haugh unit telur yang lebih besar dibandingkan dengan pakan kontrol (99,16±1,87). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan suplementasi natrium selenite berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap bobot telur dan haugh unit telur ayam niaga petelur. Simpulan. Penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi selenium anorganik 0,2–0,6 mg/kg pakan belum mampu meningkatkan bobot telur dan haugh unit telur ayam niaga petelur.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background. The study entitled "The Effect of Inorganic Selenium Supplementation on The Egg Weight and Haugh Unit of Commercial Laying Hens". The aim of this study was to determine the effect of inorganic selenium supplementation of laying hens on the weight and haugh unit of commersial laying hens eggs. The research was conducted for 8 weeks at the Experimental Farm and Poultry Production Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materials and Methods. The research material used was 80 laying hens strain Hyline age 36 weeks, inorganic selenium using natrium selenite production CV. Vemetro Putra, complete feed for laying hens wih code L83-1 A for 19-50 weeks old from PT. New Hope Indonesia with a nutrient content: 13% water content, 16.5% crude protein, 3% fat, 7% crude fiber, Ca 3.25–4.25%, P 0.6%, total aflatoxin 5μg/kg, lysine 0.8%, methionine 0.4%, methionine+lysine 0.67%, tryptophan 0.18%, threonine 0.55%, total energy 2750 kkal/kg. The study used an experimental method with a completely randomized design with 4 treatments natrium selenite supplementation, namely B0= basal feed (control); B₁= 0.2 mg/kg basal feed; B₂= 0.4 mg/kg basal feed; B₃= 0.6 mg/kg basal feed. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 laying hens and 5 replications. The observed variable were egg weight and haugh unit value of laying hens. The data obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA) followed by the orthogonal polynomial test. Results. The egg weight of laying hens which given natrium selenite supplementation in the diets 0.2 mg/kg (62.11±2.09 g) and 0.4 mg/kg (62.82±2.53 g) of basal feed have egg weight higher than control diets (61.14±1.68 g) and 0.6 mg/kg (60.37±3.14 g) of basal feed. Haugh unit value on laying hens which given natrium selenite supplementation in the diets 0.2 mg/kg (101.15±1.45), 0.4 mg/kg (100.69±1.76) and 0.6 mg/kg (101.42±3.66) of basal feed have haugh unit value higher than control diets (99.16±1.87). The results of variance analysis showed that supplementation of natrium selenite did not have significant effect (P>0.05) on egg weight and haugh unit value. Conclusion. The conclusion of this research was the used of inorganic selenium 0.2-0.6 mg/kg of basal feed has not been able to increase on egg weight and haugh unit value. |
