| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Menerjemahkan budaya adalah tugas menantang yang dihadapi para penerjemah yang mengharuskan mereka menerapkan strategi yang tepat untuk memperoleh hasil terjemahan yang berkualitas. Berkaitan dengan hal tersebut, penelitian ini bertujuan mengidentifikasi strategi penerjemahan istilah budaya dalam subtitle video Nas Daily sekaligus menilai aspek keberterimaan subtitle dalam video tersebut. Data penelitian diperoleh dari video dan dianalisis secara kualitatif menggunakan teori kategori budaya Newmark (1988), teori penerjemahan subtitle Pedersen (2011), dan keberterimaan sebagai salah satu aspek dalam model penilaian kualitas terjemahan Nababan (2012). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua kategori budaya yang disebutkan Newmark ditemukan di dalam video, kecuali kategori gesture dan habits. Adapun semua strategi yang disebutkan Pedersen juga diterapkan oleh penerjemah. Kemudian, retention strategy ditemukan paling dominan karena kurangnya padanan istilah dalam bahasa target untuk menggantikan istilah budaya dari bahasa sumber serta kepentingan pembuat konten untuk mempertahankan nuansa asing kepada penonton bahasa target. Penilaian kualitas menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar subtitle dapat diterima, karena sangat sedikit kasus ditemukannya subtitle yang kurang familiar atau menyalahi aturan bahasa Indonesia. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Translating culture is a challenging task faced by many subtitlers that compel them to use proper strategy to enhance the quality of the subtitles. Regarding it, this study aimed to identify the subtitling strategies applied in subtitling the cultural terms in Nas Daily videos and assess the acceptability aspect of these terms. For this purpose, the data was collected from the videos and qualitatively analyzed using Newmark’s (1988) cultural category, Pedersen’s (2011) typology and Nababan’s (2012) acceptability as one of the aspects of the quality assessment model. The study results showed that all cultural categories are found except for the gestures and habits category. As for the subtitling strategy, the translator used all of the strategies proposed by Pedersen. The subtitler dominantly applied the retention strategy for the lack of equivalent terms in the target language to change the source language terms and the urge of the content creator to retain the foreignness sense to the target language viewers. The quality assessment showed that most subtitles are acceptable, as in a few cases, there were some less natural subtitles or less common phrases. |
