| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul "An Analysis of Directive Illocutionary Acts in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil." Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami ucapan, terutama tindakan direktif ilokusi, antara pemain dengan mempertimbangkan konteks dan kondisi dalam film Maleficent: Mistress of Evil. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan teori Yule dan Hymes. Teori Yule merupakan tindakan ilokusi, yang digunakan oleh penutur untuk menyuruh pendengar melakukan sesuatu. Kemampuan untuk memahami reaksi juga ditentukan oleh konteksnya; oleh karena itu, teori Hymes 'SPEAKING' juga penting dalam penelitian ini. Subyek dari penelitian ini adalah tuturan yang dihasilkan oleh Maleficent sebagai karakter utama, terutama tindakan ilokusi direktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan sampel dengan populasi tertentu. Langkah sistematis dari penelitian ini adalah menganalisis tuturan menggunakan teori Yule dan Hymes dengan cara mengamati, mengumpulkan data, dan juga membuat tabel dalam bentuk apendiks. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is entitled “An Analysis of Directive Illocutionary Acts in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil movie.” This study aims to understand utterances, especially directive illocutionary acts, between the participants by considering the context and situation in Maleficent: Mistress of Evil movie. This research is qualitative descriptive research that uses Yule’s and Hymes’ theory. Yule’s theory performs directive illocutionary acts, which are used by the speaker to get the hearer to do something. The ability to understand the reaction is also determined by the context; hence Hymes's theory of ‘SPEAKING’ is also important to this study. The subjects of this research are the utterances produced by Maleficent as the main character, especially the directive illocutionary acts, using purposive sampling. The systemization step of this research is analyzing them using Yule and Hymes theory which are deeply observing, collecting data, and also making table in a form of appendix. |
