| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar Belakang: Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) merupakan kolesterol yang bermanifestasi terhadap kejadian aterosklerosis. Edamame dan almond memiliki kandungan gizi yang berpotensi menurunkan kadar LDL. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan membandingkan pengaruh pemberian edamame dan almond terhadap kadar LDL wanita usia subur. Metodologi: Penelitian true experimental ini menggunakan rancangan pre and post-test control group design pada bulan Maret-Agustus 2022. Responden merupakan 28 orang wanita usia subur dengan kadar LDL ≥100 mg/dL. Intervensi edamame sebanyak 49 g/hari dan almond sebanyak 43 g/hari selama 6 minggu. LDL diambil melalui sampel darah yang dianalisis dengan rumus Friedewald. Analisis data menggunakan uji dependent t-test. Hasil Penelitian: Rerata kadar LDL kelompok edamame sebelum intervensi 119,64 ± 15,23 mg/dL, setelah intervensi 114,29 ± 25,07 mg/dL. Rerata kadar LDL kelompok almond sebelum intervensi 124,93 ± 21,31 mg/dL, setelah intervensi 113,57 ± 26,81 mg/dL. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kadar LDL sebelum dan setelah intervensi edamame (p=0,400). Terdapat perbedaan signifikan pada kadar LDL sebelum dan setelah intervensi almond (p=0,014). Kesimpulan: Tidak terdapat perbedaan kadar LDL sebelum dan setelah konsumsi kacang edamame, terdapat perbedaan signifikan kadar LDL sebelum dan setelah konsumsi kacang almond. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Background: Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL) is a cholesterol that manifests itself in the incidence of atherosclerosis. Edamame and almonds contain nutrients that are potential to lower LDL levels. This study aims to determine and compare the effect of edamame and almonds intervention on LDL levels in reproductive women. Methods: This true experimental study used a pre and post-test control group design in March-August 2022. The respondents were 28 reproductive women who had LDL levels ≥100 mg/dL. The intervention of edamame was 49 g/day and almond 43 g/day for 6 weeks. LDL was taken through blood samples which were analyzed by Friedewald's formula. Data analysis used the dependent t-test. Result: The mean LDL level of the edamame group before the intervention was 119.64 ± 15.23 mg/dL, after the intervention was 114.29 ± 25.07 mg/dL. The mean LDL level of the almond group before the intervention was 124.93 ± 21.31 mg/dL, after the intervention was 113.57 ± 26.81 mg/dL. The results showed that there was no significant difference in LDL levels before and after the edamame intervention (p=0,400). There was a significant difference in LDL levels before and after almond intervention (p=0,014). Conclusion: There was no difference in LDL levels before and after the intervention of edamame, there was a significant difference in LDL levels before and after intervention of almond. |
