| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Dental neglect merupakan kegagalan yang dilakukan secara sengaja oleh orang tua atau wali untuk menindaklanjuti dan mencari perawatan yang dibutuhkan. Dental neglect tidak hanya memengaruhi kesehatan rongga mulutnya saja, namun memengaruhi kesehatan umum, psikologi dan juga proses tumbuh kembang anak tersebut. Pola asuh orang tua berpengaruh terhadap kesehatan, kebersihan rongga mulut anak dan dapat menentukan status kesehatan gigi anak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan dental neglect pada anak usia 10-12 tahun di SDN 07 Tanjung Barat. Jenis penelitian dengan metode observasional analitik menggunakan rancangan penelitian cross-sectional study. Lokasi penelitian di SDN 07 Tanjung barat dengan populasi sebanyak 294 orang tua dan sampel penelitian berjumlah 80 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel yaitu proportionate stratified random sampling. Instrument penelitian berupa identitas karakteristik responden dan anak responden, dental neglect scale, foto klinis rongga mulut dan parenting styles dimension questionnaire dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner melalui google form. Analisis data dilakukan secara univariat dan bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan dental neglect dengan nilai p-value 0,000 dan nilai coefficient contingency menunjukkan hasil 0,533 dengan hasil interpretasi keeratan hubungan antara dua variabel ini adalah cukup kuat. Simpulan pada penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan antara pola asuh orang tua dengan dental neglect pada anak usia 10-12 tahun pada siswa SDN 07 Tanjung barat, Jakarta Selatan |

Inggris) | Dental neglect is a willful failure of the parent or guardian, despite adequate access to care, to seek and follow through with treatment necessary to to achieve a good level of oral health. Dental neglect does not only affect the health of the oral cavity, but also affects the general health, psychology and development of the child. Parenting can affect the health, oral hygiene of children and can determine the dental health status of children. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between parenting and dental neglect in children aged 10-12 years at SDN 07 Tanjung Barat, Jakarta Selatan. This type of research using analytical observational and the method using a cross-sectional study design. The research location is SDN 07 Tanjung Barat with a population of 294 parents and the sample its 80 respondents. The sampling technique was proportionate stratified random sampling.The research instrument was the identity of the respondent's characteristics and the respondent's child, dental neglect scale, clinical photos of the oral cavity and parenting styles dimension questionnaire with data collection techniques using a questionnaire from google form. Data analysis was by univariate and bivariate analysis. The results showed that there was a relationship between parenting and dental neglect with a p-value of 0.000 and a contingency coefficient value of 0.533 with the interpretation of the close relationship between these two variables being quite strong. The conclusion in this study is that there is a relationship between parenting and dental neglect in children aged 10-12 years at SDN 07 Tanjung Barat, South Jakarta. |
