Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Study of Illocutionary Acts and Their Speech Acts Categories in Maroon 5’s song Maps” dan dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tindak ilokusi dan jenis tindak tutur mereka di dalam lagu Maps oleh Maroon 5. Penelitian ini mengaplikasikan teori tindak tutur dari Searle (1979). Untuk menjawab pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan, metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan untuk menganalisa data yang ditemukan di dalam objek penelitian. Data utama yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lirik lagu Maps yang dinyanyikan oleh Maroon 5. Lirik lagu diambil dari channel YouTube resmi Maroon 5 dibawah video Maps. Analisis data berdasarkan teori dari Searle (1979) menghasilkan penemuan bahwa tindak ilokusi yang muncul di lagu Maps adalah deskripsi dengan 31 kejadian dan persentase 46.97%, pernyataan dengan 26 kejadian dan persentase 39.39%, 6 ekspresi kebingungan dengan persentase 9.09%, 2 expresi rindu dengan persentase 3.03%, dan 1 pertanyaan dengan persentase 1.52%. Berdasarkan penemuan dari tindak ilokusi tersebut, tindak tutur yang terdapat dalam lagu ini adalah representative dengan 57 kejadian dan persentase 86.36%, diikuti oleh ekspresif dengan 8 kejadian dan persentase 12.12%, dan 1 direktif dengan total persentase 1.52%. |

Inggris) | This research is entitled “Study of Illocutionary Acts and Their Speech Acts Categories in Maroon 5’s song Maps” and is conducted in order to find out the types of illocutionary acts and their speech acts categories in the song Maps by Maroon 5. This research applied the theory of speech acts and speech act categories by Searle (1979). In order to answer the research questions that are proposed, descriptive qualitative method is applied to analyze the data found in the research object. The primary data of this research is the lyrics of the song “Maps” sung by Maroon 5. The song lyric is taken from the official YouTube channel of Maroon 5 under the video Maps. The analysis of the data based on Searle’s theory resulted in the findings that the illocutionary act that appeared in the song Maps are descriptions with 31 occurrence and the percentage of 46.97%, statements with 26 occurrences and 39.39%, 6 expressing confusion with 9.09% percentage, 2 expressing longing with 3.03% percentage, and 1 occurrence of question with 1.52% percentage. Based on the finding of illocutionary acts, the speech acts type that appeared in this song are representatives with a total of 57 occurrences with the percentage of 86.36%, followed by expressives with 8 occurrences and 12.12% total percentage, and 1 directive with 1.52% total percentage. |
