| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Kubis bunga (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.) merupakan salah satu tanaman sayuran yang banyak ditanam di dataran tinggi pada ketinggian 1000-2000 mdpl. Kubis bunga merupakan jenis sayuran yang bermanfaat mencegah gangguan pencernaan, mencegah efek radiasi ultraviolet, diabetes, radang usus, degenerasi makula, obesitas, dan hipertensi. Kebutuhan dan hasil produksi tanaman jenis kubis meningkat tiap tahunnya. Oleh karena itu, untuk memenuhi kebutuhan tanaman kubis bunga di Indonesia diperlukan adanya rekayasa teknik budidaya untuk dapat memenuhi kebutuhan nutrisi tanaman kubis bunga. Salah satu rekayasa yang dapat dilakukan adalah penggunaan mulsa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk pengaruh jenis mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga dan mengetahui kefektifan antara pemakaian mulsa dan tanpa mulsa pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga. Penelitian yang dilaksanakan bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui pengaruh jenis mulsa terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.), (2) Mengetahui kefektifan antara pemakaian mulsa dan tanpa mulsa pada pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman kubis bunga (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.). Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Sirau, Kecamatan Kemranjen, dari bulan Juli-Oktober 2021. Rancangan percobaanya adalah RAL (Rancangan Acak Lengkap) yang terdiri dari 3 perlakuan, yaitu: M0 = tanpa mulsa, M1 = mulsa jerami, M2 = mulsa plastik dengan 3 ulangan. Pengamatan yang dilakukan meliputi variabel tanaman dan variabel iklim mikro. Data yang diperoleh diuji dengan menggunakan uji One Away Anova pada taraf kesalahan 5% dan diuji lanjut menggunakan uji DMRT. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa perlakuan mulsa berpengaruh terhadap hasil tanaman kubis bunga. Pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman tertinggi dicapai pada perlakuan mulsa plastik. Bobot basah kubis bunga terbesar dihasilkan oleh perlakuan mulsa plastik dengan bobot rata-rata per tanaman 164,03 g, sedangkan bobot basah kubis bunga terkecil dihasilkan oleh perlakuan mulsa jerami dengan bobot rata-rata per tanaman 67,8 g. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Cabbage flower (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L) is one of the most widely grown vegetable crops in the highlands at an altitude of 1000-2000 mdpl. Cabbage flowers are a type of vegetable that is useful for preventing digestive disorders, preventing the effects of ultraviolet radiation, diabetes, colitis, macular degeneration, obesity, and hypertension. The need for and production of cabbage species increases every year. Therefore, to meet the needs of flower cabbage plants in Indonesia, it is necessary to engineer cultivation techniques to be able to meet the nutritional needs of flower cabbage plants. One engineering that can be done is the use of mulch. This study aimed to determine the effect of the type of mulch on the growth and yield of cauliflower plants and to determine the effectiveness between the use of mulch and without mulch on the growth and yield of flower cabbage plants. The aims of the research were to: (1) determine the effect of the type of mulch on the growth and yield of flower cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.). (2) to determine the effectiveness between the use of mulch and without mulch on the growth and yield of flower cabbage (Brassica oleracea var. Botrytis L.). This research was conducted in Sirau Village, Kemranjen District, from July-October 2021. The experimental design was RAL (Completely Randomized Design) which consisted of 3 treatments, namely: M0 = no mulch, MI = straw mulch, M2-plastic mulch with 3 repeat. The observations made included plant variables and microclimate variables. Microclimate variables observed were temperature, humidity, soil moisture, and light intensity. The data obtained were tested using the One Away Anova test at an error level of 5% and further tested using the DMRT test. The results showed that the mulch treatment had an effect on the yield of flower cabbage. The highest plant growth and yield was achieved in the plastic mulch. The largest wet weight of cauliflower was produced by plastic mulch treatment with an average weight plant of 164,03 g. while the smallest wet weight of flower cabbage was produced by straw mulch treatment with an average weight plant of 67,8 g. |
