| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian suplemen pakan berupa mineral Kromium organik terhadap pertambahan bobot badan harian (PBBH) dan body condition score (BCS). Penelitian telah dilaksanakan secara in vivo pada tanggal 1 Maret 2021 sampai dengan 18 Juni 2021 di Gunung Tugel Farm, Green House dan Labolatorium Ilmu Bahan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi yang digunakan adalah 20 ekor kambing jawarandu jantan dengan rataan bobot awal sebesar 25,12 ± 3,44 kg, kandang panggung individu, timbangan, pakan yang diberikan terdiri atas silase rumput gajah dan konsentrat. Pakan perlakuan yang diberikan yaitu 0; 0,5; 1; dan 1,5 ppm mineral Kromium organik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimental In vivo menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap (RAL). Terdapat 4 perlakuan yang diuji, yaitu R0 (70% konsentrat + 30% silase rumput gajah), R1 (70% konsentrat + 30% silase rumput gajah + 0,5 ppm mineral Kromium organik), R2 (70% konsentrat + 30% silase rumput gajah + 1 ppm mineral Kromium organik) dan R3 (70% konsentrat + 30% silase rumput gajah + 1,5 ppm mineral Kromium organik). Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali sehingga terdapat 20 unit percobaan. Uji lanjut yang digunakan adalah ortogonal polinomial dan uji beda nyata jujur. Variabel yang diukur pada penelitian ini yaitu pertambahan bobot badan harian dan body condition score. Data dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi. Rataan PBBH adalah R0 = 124,82 ± 9,75; R1 = 119,50 ± 17,12; R2 = 162,89 ± 3,87 dan R3 = 177,19 ± 31,11 g/ekor/hari. Rataan BCS adalah R0 = 2,5 ± 0,246; R1 = 2,8 ± 0,26; R2 = 2,6 ± 0,15 dan R3 = 3,0 ± 0,19. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan berpengaruh sangat nyata terhadap PBBH dan BCS. Hasil uji lanjut ortogonal polinomial menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang nyata dan bersifat kubik. Disimpulkan bahwa suplementasi Kromium organik mampu meningkatkan PBBH dan BCS pada kambing dengan level yang optimal berkisar antara 1,04 – 1,36 ppm. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study was conducted to determine the effect of feeding supplements in the form of organic Chromium minerals on average daily gain (ADG) and body condition score (BCS). The research has been carried out in vivo from March 1, 2021 to June 18, 2021 at Gunung Tugel Farm, Green House and Animal Feedstuff Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Sudirman University, Purwokerto. The material used was 20 male Jawarandu goats with an average initial weight of 25.12 ± 3.44 kg, individual stage cages, digital scales, the feed provided consisted of Pennisetum purpureum silage and concentrate. The treatment feed given was 0; 0.5; 1; and 1.5 ppm of organic Chromium minerals. The research method used was experimental In vivo using a completely randomized design (CRD). There were 4 treatments tested, namely R0 (70% concentrate + 30% Pennisetum purpureum silage), R1 (70% concentrate + 30% Pennisetum purpureum silage + 0.5 ppm organic Chromium minerals), R2 (70% concentrate + 30% Pennisetum purpureum silage + 1 ppm organic Chromium mineral) and R3 (70% concentrate + 30% Pennisetum purpureum silage + 1.5 ppm organic Chromium mineral). Each treatment was repeated 5 times so that there were 20 trial units. The further test used was orthogonal polynomial and tukeys test. The variables measured in this study were daily body weight gain and body condition score. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance. The mean ADG of R0 = 124.82 ± 9.75; R1 = 119.50 ± 17.12; R2 = 162.89 ± 3.87 and R3 = 177.19 ± 31.11 g/head/day. The mean BCS of R0 = 2.5 ± 0.24; R1 = 2.8 ± 0.26; R2 = 2.6 ± 0.15 and R3 = 3.0 ± 0.19. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a very significant effect on ADG and BCS. The results of the further test of orthogonal polynomials showed that there were significant and cubic differences. It was concluded that organic Chromium supplementation was able to increase ADG and BCS in goats with optimal levels ranging from 1.04 to 1.36 ppm. |
