| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Fitoplankton merupakan salah satu organisme perairan yang sangat penting dan mempunyai peran utama dalam siklus kehidupan di perairan. Struktur komunitas fitoplankton merupakan kumpulan populasi fitoplankton pada suatu habitat tertentu yang saling berinteraksi di dalam suatu stratifikasi tertentu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui hubungan struktur komunitas fitoplankton dengan kandungan nitrat dan fosfat di Sungai Ponggawa, Kabupaten Purbalingga. Metode yang digunakan adalah Purposive Random Sampling. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan pada bulan Februari–Maret 2022 di Sungai Ponggawa pada tiga stasiun penelitian. Data kelimpahan, indeks keanekaragaman Shanon-Wiener, dan indeks dominansi Simpson fitoplankton dianalisis menggunakan deskriptif komparatif dengan diagram batang. Hasil yang didapat yaitu ketiga stasiun pengambilan sampel memiliki kelimpahan rata-rata fitoplankton berkisar antara 417-670 ind/L, indeks keanekaragaman Shanon-Wiener berkisar antara 3,19-3,24, dan indeks dominansi Simpson berkisar antara 0,047-0,050. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Phytoplankton is one of the most important aquatic organisms and has a major role in the life cycle in the waters. Phytoplankton community structure is a collection of phytoplankton populations in a particular habitat that interact with each other in a certain stratification. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between phytoplankton community structure and nitrate and phosphate content in the Ponggawa River, Purbalingga Regency. The method used is Purposive Random Sampling. Sampling was carried out in February–March 2022 on the Ponggawa River at three research stations. The abundance data, the Shanon-Wiener diversity index, and the Simpson dominance index of phytoplankton were analyzed using comparative descriptive with bar charts. The results obtained are the three sampling stations had an average abundance of phytoplankton ranged from 417-670 ind/L, the Shanon-Wiener diversity index ranged from 3.19-3.24, and the Simpson dominance index ranged from 0.047-0.050. |
