| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Fungsi, Kategori, dan Peran Sintaksis Kalimat Majemuk Bertingkat dalam Majalah Ancas Edisi Desember 2011”. Penelitian ini berbentuk deskriptif kualitatif. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode simak yang diwujudkan dengan teknik dasarnya yaitu teknik sadap, dan teknik lanjutannya yaitu teknik catat. Penelitian ini juga menggunakan metode agih sebagai metode analisis datanya dengan teknik bagi unsur langsung sebagai teknik dasarnya, dan teknik balik, teknik lesap dan teknik baca markah sebagai teknik lanjutannya. Hasil penyajian analisis data disajikan secara informal dan formal. Berdasarkan analisis dan pembahasan dapat disimpulkan sebagai berikut. Berdasarkan fungsinya, KMB yang terdapat pada majalah Ancas edisi Desember 2011 ditemukan 12 pola, yaitu S-P-O, S-P-K, S-P-PEL, P-S-K, K-S-P, S-P-O-K, S-P-O-PEL-K, K-S-P-O, S-P-K1-K2, K1-S-P-K2, K-S-P-PEL, S-P-O-PEL. Berdasarkan kategori kata atau frasa fungsi S termasuk N/FN; fungsi P termasuk V/FV, N/FN, FAdj dan FAdv; fungsi O termasuk N/FN, KV dan KAdv; fungsi PEL termasuk N/FN, FPrep, FAdj dan KV; fungsi K termasuk FAdv, FPrep, KV, KAdj dan KN. Berdasarkan perannya, fungsi S diisi oleh peran pelaku, penderita, pengalam, pokok, dikenal dan tujuan, fungsi P diisi oleh peran perbuatan, keadaan, pemerolehan, keberadaan dan pengenal, fungsi O diisi oleh peran penderita, hasil dan pelaku, fungsi PEL diisi oleh peran alat, pelaku, perbandingan, dan penderita, sedangkan fungsi K diisi oleh peran tempat, tujuan, sebab, waktu, penambahan, syarat, dan tak bersyarat. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is entitled “Function, category, and role of syntax on the compound sentences in Ancas magazine, December 2011 edition”. It is a descriptive qualitative research. The method of data collecting in this research is observation through its basic technique namely recording and note talking. This research also applied agih (distributional) method to analyze the data through employing technique of direct distribution as the basic technique. Reverse technique, elliptic technique and marker reading technique as its advance technique were also applied. Data display is presented both formally and informally. Based on the analysis and discussion, the conclusion can be drawn as follows. According to the function, 12 patterns of compound senteces are found in Ancas magazine namelly S-P-O, S-P-Adv, S-P-Comp, P-S-Adv, Adv-S-P, S-P-O-Adv, S-P-O-Comp-Adv, Adv-S-P-O, S-P-Adv1-Adv2, Adv1-Adv2-S-P, Adv-S-P-Comp, S-P-O-Comp. According to word/phrase category, the function of S includes noun/noun phrase; the function of P belongs to verb/verb phrase, noun/noun phrase, adjective phrase and adverb phrase; the function of O belongs to noun/noun phrase, verb clause dan adverb clause; the function of Comp functions includes noun/noun phrase, preposition phrase, adjective phrase and verb phrase; the function of Adv includes adverb phrase, preposition phrase, verb clause, and noun clause, and adjective clause. According to its role, the function of S contains the actor, beneficiary, experiencer, main, recognized and objectives; the function of P contains the role of action, situation, acquisition, existence and identifier; the function of O includes the role of beneficiary, result and actor; the function of Comp covers the role of tools, actor, comparison and beneficiary. Finally, the function of Adv covers the role of place, objectives, cause, time, addition, conditional and unconditional.
