| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor industri dasar dan kimia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2018 – 2020. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguji dan menganalisis pengaruh variabel struktur kepemilikan saham yang diproksikan dengan kepemilikan saham board of directors, kepemilikan saham asing, dan kepemilikan saham institusional terhadap intensitas research and development dengan menggunakan variabel kontrol ukuran perusahaan dan hutang perusahaan. Populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor industri dasar dan kimia yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia pada tahun 2018 – 2020. Penentuan sampel menggunakan purposive sampling. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 32 perusahaan. Untuk analisis data menggunakan uji deskriptif, uji asumsi klasik, uji regresi data panel, dan uji t. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel struktur kepemilikan saham board of directors dan kepemilikan saham asing berpengaruh positif terhadap intensitas research and development. Sedangkan variabel kepemilikan saham institusional berpengaruh negatif terhadap intensitas research and development pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor industri dasar dan kimia pada tahun 2018 – 2020. Implikasi penelitian ini diharapkan perusahaan dapat lebih memperhatikan variabel kepemilikan saham board of directors dan kepemilikan asing yang dapat mempengaruhi intensitas research and development. Penelitian ini selanjutnya dapat menggunakan sampel penelitian dalam skala yang lebih luas seperti seluruh perusahaan pada sektor manufaktur di Bursa Efek Indonesia, atau bisa juga menggunakan sampel perusahaan manufaktur dari berbagai negara. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is a type of quantitative research on basic chemicl industry sub sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchane in 2018 – 2020. The purpose of this study was to examine and analyze the effect of the variable share ownership structure as proxied by the share ownership of the board of directors, foreign share ownership, and institusional share ownership on the intensity of research and development using the control variables of company size and company debt. The population used in this study us the basic and chemical industry sub sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2018 – 2020. Determination of the sample using a purposive sampling method. The sample in this study were 32 companies. Data analysis used in this research are descriptive test, classsic assumption test, panel data regression test, and t test. The results of this study indicate that the variable share ownership structure of the board of directors and foreign share ownership has a positive effect on the intensity of research and development. Meanwhile, institusional share ownership has a negative effect on the intensity of research and development in manufacturing companies in the basic and chemical industry sub sectors in 2018 – 2020. The implication of thiss research is that companies are expected to pay more attention to the variables of board of directors share ownership and foreign ownership that can effect the intensity of research and development. This research can then use a research sample on a wider scale such as all companies in the manufacturing sector on the Indonesia Stock Exchange, or it can also use a sample of manufacturing companies from various countries. |
