| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini membahas permasalahan psikologis yang dialami oleh manusia ketika sedang menghadapi suatu masalah di dalam aktivitasnya. Atas dasar permasalahan tersebut, peneliti melakukan penelitian dengan tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Id, Ego, Super Ego, dan Mekanisme pertahanan Ego pada tokoh Kakek Garin dalam cerpen “Robohnya Surau Kami” dan tokoh Aku dalam cerpen “Angin Dari Gunung” karya A.A. Navis. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan cara membaca dan memahami objek penelitian atau teks cerpen “Robohnya Surau Kami” dan “Angin Dari Gunung”. Kemudian penelitian ini dianalisis menggunakan teori psikoanalisis Sigmond Freud untuk mendeskripsikan Id, Ego, dan Super Ego, dan Mekanisme pertahanan Ego pada tokoh Kakek Garin dan tokoh Aku dalam antologi cerpen “Robohnya Surau Kami”. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa kedua tokoh memiliki Id, Ego, dan Super Ego yang berbeda serta mekanisme pertahanan Ego yang berbeda juga. Kakek Garin dengan segala konfik psikologis yang dialaminya akhirnya mengakhiri hidupnya dengan bunuh diri, sedangkan tokoh Aku dengan segala konflik psikologisnya mampu bertahan. Hasil penelitian ini juga menunjukkan kedua tokoh memberikan makna tentang pelajaran hidup tentang mempertahankan diri sendiri ketika sedang mengalami konflik psikologis pada diri sendiri. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study discusses the psychological problems experienced by humans when they are facing a problem in their activities. On the basis of these problems, the researcher conducted a study with the aim of describing the Id, Ego, Super Ego, and Ego defense mechanisms in the character of Kakek Garin in the short story "Robohnya Surau Kami" and the character Aku in the short story "Angin Dari Gunung" by A.A. Navis. This research was conducted by reading and understanding the object of research or the short stories "Robohnya Surau Kami" and "Angin Dari Gunung". Then this research was analyzed using Sigmond Freud's psychoanalytic theory to describe the Id, Ego, and Super Ego, and the defense mechanism of the Ego in the character of Kakek Garin and the character Aku in the short story anthology "Robohnya Surau Kami". The results of this study reveal that the two characters have different Id, Ego, and Super Ego as well as different Ego defense mechanisms. Kakek Garin with all the psychological conflicts he experienced finally ended his life by committing suicide, while the character Aku with all his psychological conflicts was able to survive. The results of this study also show that the two characters provide meaning about life lessons about defending yourself when you are experiencing psychological conflicts with yourself. |
