Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Abstrak
Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)COVID-19 is a disease that attacks the respiratory system caused by the SARS-CoV2 virus. Levofloxacin is one of the antibiotics prescribed by the Indonesian Ministry of Health as a treatment for COVID-19. This study aims to determine the potential for levofloxacin drug interactions in COVID-19 patients at the Banyumas Hospital. This research is descriptive observational with medical record data of COVID-19 patients at the Banyumas Hospital for the period June 2020-June 2021 by total sampling. Drug interaction analysis using Lexicomp® Drug Interaction and Drugs.Interaction Checker. A total of 217 samples were obtained and levofloxacin drug interactions had the potential to appear in 176 patients (81.11%). Based on the severity, the major level was 106 events (37.06%), the moderate level was 161 events (56.30%) and the minor level was 19 events (6.64%). Based on the mechanism of action, pharmacokinetic interactions were 31 events (10.83%) and pharmacodynamic interactions were 255 events (89.17%). The management that can be done is close monitoring, especially for patients with high risk factors (elderly, kidney disorders, heart problems and other critical patients).
