| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sabut kelapa merupakan hasil samping dari tanaman kelapa yang belum banyak dimanfaatkan oleh masyarakat. Sabut kelapa mengandung beberapa senyawa fitokimia. Perbedaan tingkat ketuaan sabut kelapa muda dan tua merupakan faktor penting yang mempengaruhi komposisi dan jumlah senyawa fitokimia dalam sabut kelapa. Senyawa-senyawa fitokimia tersebut akan lebih mudah dimanfaatkan apabila dilakukan proses ekstraksi. Tingkat kepolaran pelarut merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam proses ekstraksi. Polaritas pelarut dalam ekstraksi harus sama atau sangat dekat dengan polaritas bahan aktif yang diekstrak agar ekstraksi berjalan secara efisien. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui karakteristik senyawa fitokimia yang terkandung dalam ekstrak sabut kelapa tua dan sabut kelapa muda pada variasi pelarut yang berbeda. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Coconut husks are a by-product of the coconut plant that has not been widely used by the community. Coconut husks contain several phytochemical compounds. Differences in the level of aging of young and old coconut husks are important factors that affect the composition and amount of phytochemical compounds in coconut husks. These phytochemical compounds will be easier to use in the extraction process. The level of polarity of the solvent is one of the important factors in the extraction process. For efficient extraction, the polarity of the solvent in the extraction must be the same or very close to the polarity of the active ingredient being extracted. This research was conducted to determine the characteristics of the qualitative and quantitative of phytochemical compounds contained in the extracts of old and young coconut husks in different solvent variations. |
