| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Sistem Informasi Penerimaan Mahasiswa Baru Berbasis Web dan Mobile Phone. Sistem informasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru berbasis web sudah diterapkan oleh beberapa universitas di Indonesia. Pada kenyataannya permasalahannya adalah calon mahasiswa masih banyak yang merasa kesulitan dengan sistem tersebut karena tidak adanya fitur konfirmasi pembayaran pendaftaran online, dan tidak semua calon mahasiswa mempunyai komputer terkoneksi dengan internet sehingga perlu diterapkan sistem berbasis WAP agar calon mahasiswa juga dapat mengakses sistem melalui telepon genggam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pengembangan sistem atau waterfall, yaitu merancang sistem informasi penerimaaan mahasiswa baru berbasis web yang dapat diakses melalui web browser dan juga berbasis WAP yang dapat diakses melalui telepon genggam. Sistem informasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru ini dibangun dengan bahasa pemrograman PHP, tag HTML, dan tag WML, serta memanfaatkan database MySQL sebagai database server. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sistem informasi penerimaan mahasiswa baru berbasis web yang sudah memiliki kemampuan memberikan kemudahan bagi calon mahasiswa baru untuk memperoleh semua informasi tentang penerimaan mahasiswa baru dan melakukan proses pendaftaran serta konfirmasi pembayaran pendaftaran online. Bagi calon mahasiswa yang tidak mempunyai komputer terkoneksi internet, masih tetap bisa mendapatkan kemudahan mengakses sistem ini dengan menggunakan telepon genggam yang dilengkapi dengan fasilitas WAP. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | New Student Admission Information System Based on Web and Mobile Phone. New Student Admission Information System Based on Web already applied in by some universities in Indonesia. On real problem is still a lot of prospective students who find it difficult with such systems lack features online registration payment confirmation, and not all candidates have a computer that connected to the internet, so it needs to WAP-based system applied to the prospective student can also access the system via mobile phone. The research method in this research used the development of the system or waterfall, namely designing experiments to web based admission of new student information system that can be accessed by web browsers and WAP-based that accessed by mobile phone. Admission of new student information system was built with the PHP programming language, HTML and WML tags, and MySQL as the database server. The results of this study is web based admission of new student information system already has the ability to make it easier for prospective students to obtain all the information about student admission and registration process as well as online registration payment confirmation.
