| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Fokus umum penelitian ini adalah persepsi siswa terhadap penggunaan modul pengajaran dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris yang diberikan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti ingin mencari (1) Persepsi siswa terhadap modul pengajaran yang digunakan oleh Bahasa Inggris, (2) Umpan balik siswa terhadap penggunaan modul pengajaran yang diberikan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris. Data diperoleh dari kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi. Dalam menganalis data, peneliti menselesksi, mentraskrip data yang sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Data disajikan dalam bentuk penjelasan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) 80% siswa menjawab bahwa mereka puas dengan modul yang diberikan oleh guru Bahasa Inggris, (2) 84% siswa kelas tertinggi nilai Bahasa Inggris menyatakan bahwa mereka termotivasi dengan belajar Bahasa Inggris menggunakan modul, (3) 60% siswa kelas terendah nilai Bahasa Inggris tidak termotivasi dengan pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris menggunakan modul. Para siswa lebih memilih untuk belajar Bahasa Inggris di sekolah daripada di asrama. Saran bagi guru hendaknya membuat modul lebih menarik dengan menyertakan lebih banyak gambar yang sesuai dengan materi, memberi arti pada petunjuk dan kata-kata sulit. Modul harus dibagikan sesuai dengan jumlah siswa. Guru juga seharusnya tidak hanya membagikan modul tetapi juga menjelaskan isi modul. Bagi peneliti lain yang tertarik pada hal yang sama untuk melakukan penelitian dengan cakupan yang lebih luas dan tingkatan yang berbeda, dan juga untuk mengetahui efektivitas pengajaran Bahasa Inggris menggunakan modul. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | In this research, the researcher wants to seek out (1) The students’ perceptions towards teaching module used by English teacher, (2) Students’ feedback on the use of teaching module given by English teacher. The data were collected by using questionnaire, interview, and observation. In analyzing the data, the researcher selected, and transcribed the data related to the research objectives. The data were presented through descriptive explanation. The result of this research are (1) 80% students answer that they are satisfied with the module given by English teacher (2) 84% the highest grade in English students claim that they are motivated by learning English using module (3) 60% the lowest grade in English students are not motivated by learning English using module. The students prefer to learn English in school rather than in dorm. The suggestions for teacher should make the module more interseting by including more pictures that match the material, giving meaning to the instructions and difficult words, the modules should be distributed according to the number of students. Teacher should also not only distributed modules but also explain the contents. For the other researchers who will conduct the research with the same topic. The researcher realized that this research was not the final study about students’ perception on the use of teaching module in English teaching. Other researcher may study further about the use of module on larger scope and different level, and also the effectiveness of teaching English using module. |
