| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Lirik lagu adalah salah satu media yang digunakan untuk menyampaikan perasaan, ide, dan pengalaman. Terlebih dari itu, ada sebuah grup musik yang menceritakan cerita horor lewat lirik-lirik lagunya. Nama grup tersebut adalah Carach Angren. Gramatika, sebagai bagian dari bahasa, digunakan dalam membangun cerita tersebut. Penelitian ini fokus pada frasa nomina sebagai gramatika beserta signifikansinya dalam membangun cerita horor tersebut. Sesuai dengan itu, penelitian ini dirumuskan menjadi 2 tujuan, yaitu, (1) Mengidentifikasi tipe-tipe strukur frasa nomina yang menyampaikan aspek-aspek horor berdasarkan teori dari Quirk, dkk (1985) dan Prohászková (2012) pada semua lirik lagu Carach Angren di album Death Came through a Phantom Ship; (2) Mengidentifikasi aspek-aspek horor yang disampaikan pada tipe-tipe struktur frasa nomina yang telah diidentifikasikan. Pendekatan analisis stilistika dalam metode penelitian kualitatif memungkinkan penelitian ini untuk menjelaskan datanya, yaitu frasa-frasa nomina yang menyampaikan aspek-aspek horor. Dari semua lirik lagu yang telah ditranskripsikan, data dipilih secara purposive berdasarkan penerapan teori-teori yang disebutkan dalam tujuan penelitian. Sebagai hasilnya, penelitian ini menunjukan 2 hal. Pertama, terdapat 10 tipe struktur frasa nomina yang menyampaikan aspek horor dalam album karya Carach Angren, Death Came through a Phantom Ship. Sebagai contoh, terdapat tipe determinative + head, premodification + head + postmodification, dan determinative + multiple heads. Kedua, terdapat 18 variasi aspek horor yang melekat pada tipe-tipe struktur frasa nomina yang telah diidentifikasikan tersebut. Aspek-aspek horor diidentifikasikan menggunakan pengkodean. Variasi-variasi tersebut sebagai contoh adalah HA1; HA1, HA3; and HA1, HA3, HA4. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa frasa-frasa nomina pada album Death Came through a Phantom Ship oleh Carach Angren menyampaikan aspek-aspek yang cocok dengan teori genre horor (Prohászková, 2012). Hal itu ditunjukan oleh isi dari unsur-unsur struktur frasa nomina yang sesuai dengan karakteristik yang disebutkan oleh teori tersebut. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Song lyrics are one of the media to express feelings, ideas and experience. Even further, there is a musical group telling a horror story through the song lyrics. The group name is Carach Angren. In building the story, grammar is used as the part of language. This research intends to focus on noun phrases as the grammar and their significance in building that horror story. Accordingly, this research is formulated to form two objectives which are (1) Identifying the structure types of noun phrases conveying horror aspects based on the theories of Quirk et.al (1985) and Prohászková (2012) in all song lyrics in Carach Angren’s album Death Came through a Phantom Ship; (2) Identifying the horror aspects conveyed through those identified noun phrase structure types. The approach of stylistic analysis in qualitative research methodology allows this research to describe the data, which are the noun phrases conveying horror aspects. From all transcribed song lyrics, the data are purposefully selected based on the application of the theories in the research objective. As the result, this research shows two points. First, there are 10 structure types of noun phrases conveying horror aspects in Carach Angren’s album Death Came through a Phantom Ship. For example, there are the types of determinative + head, premodification + head + postmodification, and determinative + multiple heads. Second, there are 18 horror aspects variation carried by those identified noun phrase structure types. The horror aspects are identified with coding. Those variations for example are HA1; HA1, HA3; and HA1, HA3, HA4. According to the conducted analysis, it concludes that the noun phrases lie on Carach Angren’s album Death Came through a Phantom Ship convey the aspects fit to the horror genre theory (Prohászková, 2012). That is indicated by the contents inside the constituents of the noun phrase structures which meet the characteristic mentioned by that theory. |
