| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Penggambaran Karakter Tokoh Utama Pada Kumpulan Cerpen Kegelapan Di Bawah Matahari Karya Putu Arya Tirtawirya dan Relevansi Terhadap Pembelajaran Cerpen di SMA”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan (1) penggambaran karakter tokoh utama dalam kumpulan cerpen Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari karya Putu Arya Tirtawirya berdasarkan teori dari Edgar V. Roberts. (2) Relevansi hasil penelitian terhadap pembelajaran cerpen di SMA. Bentuk penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini berfokus pada karakter yang dimiliki oleh tokoh utama pada buku kumpulan cerpen. Metode pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan teknik baca, simak, dan catat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan yaitu metode analisis deskriptif. Teknik penyajian data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan metode penyajian informa. Hasil penelitian pada buku kumpulan cerpen Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari karya Putu Arya Tirtawirya yang memfokuskan pada unsur tokoh dan penokohan tokoh utama dengan menggunakan teori dari Edgar V. Roberts (1983), diperoleh yaitu penggambaran dengan cara apa yang dikatakan oleh tokoh tentang dirinya ada 9 data, apa yang dilakukan oleh tokoh ada 11 data, apa kata tokoh-tokoh lain tentang tokoh yang dianalisis ada 1 data, dan apa kata pengarang tentang tokohnya ada 1 data. Kemudian berdasarkan penggambaran watak tokoh menurut Waluyo (2011:21), watak tokoh memiliki sifat dan karakteristik yang dapat dirumuskan ke dalam tiga dimensi yaitu dimensi psikologis 13 data, dimesi sosiologis 6 data, dan dimensi fisiologis 3 data. Relevansi hasil analisis tokoh utama dalam kumpulan cerpen Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari karya Putu Arya Tirtawirya dapat digunakan sebagai rujukan atau referensi pembelajaran atau bahan ajar jenjang SMA kurikulum 2013 kelas XI pada Kompetensi Dasar (KD) 3.9 Menganalisis unsur-unsur pembangun cerita pendek pada buku kumpulan cerita. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Literary works are language-based creative forms that serve two purposes: entertainment and education. Poems, prose, and theatre are examples of several types of literary works. Novels and short tales can both be considered prose. The author of this research looks at the major characters in Putu Arya Tirtawirya's short story collection Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari. Based on Edgar V. Roberts' theory, this study tries to describe (1) the characters in Putu Arya Tirtawirya's collection of short stories Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari. (2) The application of study findings to the teaching of short stories in high school. Students should be able to get a better understanding of the elements that make up literary works, particularly short tales. This study takes the form of descriptive qualitative research. The focus of this study is on the personality of the main character in a collection of short stories. Reading, listening, and taking notes were used to collect data in this study. The descriptive analysis method was utilized to analyze the data. In this study, the way of displaying data is the manner of providing information. The findings of the research on Putu Arya Tirtawirya's book collection of short stories Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari, which focuses on the elements of character and characterization of the main character using the theory of Edgar V. Roberts (1983), show that the depiction of what the character says about him has 9 data, what the characters do has 11 data, what other characters say about the characters being analyzed has 1 data, and what the author says about the characters being analyzed has 1. The character's character has properties and characteristics that can be formulated into three dimensions, namely the psychological dimension with 13 data, the sociological dimension with 6 data, and the physiological dimension with 3 data, based on Waluyo's (2011:21) description of the character's character Relevance of the findings of the main character's study in the collection of short tales Putu Arya Tirtawirya's Kegelapan di Bawah Matahari can be utilized as a reference, learning resource, or teaching material for the 2013 high school class XI Basic Competence curriculum (KD) 3.9 In tale books, analyzing the elements of short story builders. |
