| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan respons dari media The New York Times, mengenai pemakzulan kedua Donald J Trump dalam artikel “Trump Impeached for inciting insurrection”. Penelitian ini menggunakan paradigma kritis dengan metode analisis wacana kritis dari Teun a Van Dijk. Pengumpulan data diambil melalui 3 dimensi analisis yaitu, dimensi teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial. Yang kemudian dilakukan elaborasi data untuk menemukan pola-pola yang berulang untuk menghasilkan kesimpulan mengenai respons di dalam artikel. Hasil dari penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa, (1) Respon di dalam artikel mewakili respon dari media, jurnalis, dan juga editor. (2) Dalam mempengaruhi opini publik, media The New York Times menggunakan strategi persuasif, dan Partai Demokrat menggunakan strategi sebab-akibat. (3) Respon dari media terbukti bias pada liberalis dan neutral bipartisan (left-centris). (4) artikel “Trump Impeached for inciting insurrection” digunakan sebagai media ekspresi oleh jurnalis dan editor, atas kekesalan dan kemarahan mereka sebagai salah satu korban dari kejadian Capitol Riot. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study aims to describe the response of The New York Times's media regarding the second impeachment of Donald J. Trump, in the article "Trump Impeached for inciting insurrection." This study uses a critical paradigm with the critical discourse analysis method of Teun Van Dijk. The data was collected using three dimensions of analysis: text dimensions, social cognition, and social context. The data was then analyzed to find repetitive patterns to produce conclusions about the responses in the article. The results of this study found that: (1) the response in the article represents the response from the media, journalists, and also editors;(2) The media of the New York Times uses a persuasive strategy to influence public opinion, whereas the Democratic Party uses a persuasion cause and effect technique;(3) The response from the media proved to be biased towards liberals and neutral (left-centris);(4)The article "Trump Impeached for inciting insurrection" is used as a medium of expression by journalists and editors to express their frustration and anger as one of the victims of the Capitol Riot incident. |
