Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Peningkatan produksi tanaman padi dapat dilakukan dengan beberapa cara yaitu dengan pemahaman petani tentang pemupukan yang berimbang dengan mengetahui karakteristik tanah beserta unsur haranya. Unsur hara nitrogen merupakan unsur hara makro yang mutlak dibutuhkan oleh tanaman. Peranan unsur hara N adalah untuk pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman khususnya pertumbuhan akar, batang dan daun, berperan dalam pembentukan zat hijau daun (klorofil) yang sangat penting padaproses fotosintesis. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu (1) mengetahui agihan (disribusi) unsur hara N di lahan sawah yang digunakan untuk budidaya tanaman padi di Kecamatan Kemangkon, Kabupaten Purbalingga., (2) mengetahui hubungan antara ketersediaan unsur hara N dan serapan N dengan hasil tanaman padi di lahan sawah Kecamatan Kemangkon, Kabupaten Purbalingga., dan (3) menentukan rekomendasi pemupukan N di lahan sawah Kecamatan Kemangkon, Kabupaten Purbalingga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survei sistem transek yang dibuat tegak lurus aliran sungai, dengan memperhatikan penyebaran titik secara proporsional. Pengambilan sampel tanah dilakukan secara komposit di setiap lokasi pengamatan. Sampel tanah diambil dengan melakukan pengeboran tanah pada kedalaman 0-25 cm dan 25-50 cm sebanyak tiga titik secara tegak lurus, kemudian pada setiap lapisan, tanah dicampur homogen atau secara komposit, tanah diambil sekitar 0,5 kg untuk analisis tanah. Jarak antar titik pengeboran sekitar 3-4 m. Sampel tanah dikeringanginkan, ditumbuk menggunakan mortir, diayak lolos saringan 0,5 mm dan 2 mm. variabel variabel yang diamati yaitu diantaranya pH H2O, pH KCL, Daya Hantar Listrik (DHL), potensial redoks, N-tersedia tanah, Serapan N, dan hasil tanaman padi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan status unsur hara N di lahan sawah Kecamatan Kemangkon termasuk kedalam harkat yang sangat tinggi. Agihan status unsur hara nitrogen di lahan sawah wilayah Kecamatan Kemangkon yang digunakan untuk budidaya tanaman padi berada diantara harkat sangat tinggi (1,44 – 1,83%N). Hubungan N-total tanah dengan hasil tanaman padi adalah y = 4,7559x + 3,0154 dengan R2 = 0,0141 atau pengaruh N-total tanah terhadap hasil tanaman padi adalah 1,41% dan r = 0,012 artinya hubungan korelasi positif sangat rendah antara N total tanah dengan hasil tanaman padi. Hubungan serapan N dengan hasil tanaman memiliki y = 0,0709x + 0,9216 dengan R2= 0,2256 atau serapan N oleh tanaman berpengaruh terhadap hasil sebesar 22,56% dan r = 0,475 yang artinya mempunyai hubungan korelasi positif cukup kuat antara serapan N dengan hasil tanaman.

Inggris)Increased production of rice plants can be done in several ways, namely by understanding farmers about balanced fertilization and by knowing the characteristics of the soil and its nutrients. Nitrogen is a macro nutrient that is absolutely needed by plants. The role of the nutrient N is an element of plant vegetative growth, especially the growth of roots, stems and leaves, plays a role in the formation of leaf green matter (chlorophyll) which is very important in the photosynthesis process. The aims of this study were (1) to determine the distribution of N nutrients in paddy fields used for soybean cultivation in Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency, (2) to determine the relationship between nutrient N availability and N uptake with soybean yields in rice fields in Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency., and (3) determine recommendations for N fertilization in rice fields in Kemangkon District, Purbalingga Regency. This study uses a transect system survey method that is made perpendicular to the river flow, taking into account the proportional distribution of points. Soil sampling was carried out in a composite manner at each observation location. Soil samples were taken by drilling the soil at a depth of 0-25 cm and 25-50 cm at three points perpendicularly, then in each layer, the soil was mixed homogeneously or compositely, about 0.5 kg of soil was taken for soil analysis. The distance between drilling points is about 3-4 m. Soil samples were dried, ground using a mortar, sieved through 0.5 mm and 2 mm sieves. The variables observed were pH H2O, pH KCL, Electrical Conductivity (DHL), redox potential, N-available soil, N uptake, and rice yields. The results showed that the status of N nutrients in the rice fields of Kemangkon District was included in a very high value. The distribution of nitrogen nutrient status in rice fields in the Kemangkon District area used for rice cultivation is between very high values (1.44 – 1.83%N). The relationship between N-total soil and rice yields is y = 4.7559x + 3.0154 with R2 = 0.0141 or the effect of N-total soil on rice yields is 1.41% and r = 0.012, meaning that the positive correlation is very low. between the total N of the soil and the yield of rice. The relationship between N uptake and plant yields has y = 0.0709x + 0.9216 with R2 = 0.2256 or N uptake by plants affects the yield by 22.56% and r = 0.475, which means that it has a fairly strong positive correlation between N uptake with crop yields.
