| Judul Artikel | THE INFLUENCE OF SOCIO ECONOMIC FACTORS ON NUMBER OF CHILDREN IN FAMILY IN TELUK VILLAGE SOUTH PURWOKERTO SUB DISTRICT |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul pengaruh faktor sosial ekonomi terhadap jumlah anak dalam keluarga di Kelurahan Teluk Kecamatan Purwokerto Selatan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh faktor sosial ekonomi terhadap jumlah anak dalam keluarga dan untuk mengetahui variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap jumlah anak dalam keluarga di Kelurahan Teluk Kecamatan Purwokerto Selatan. Faktor-faktor yang diduga berpengaruh terhadap jumlah anak yaitu pendapatan rumah tangga, tingkat pendidikan suami, tingkat pendidikan istri, usia istri, status pekerjaan istri, alat kontrasepsi dan preferensi jenis kelamin. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 100 responden didapat dengan menggunakan rumus Slovin.Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pendapatan rumah tangga, tingkat pendidikan suami, tingkat pendidikan istri, usia istri dan alat kontrasepsi berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah anak dalam keluarga karena (F hitung > F tabel dan t hitung > t tabel), sedangkan status pekerjaan istri dan preferensi jenis kelamin tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap jumlah anak dalam keluarga karena (F hitung < F tabel dan t hitung = t tabel). Serta pendapatan rumah tangga merupakan variabel yang paling berpengaruh paling besar terhadap jumlah anak karena dari uji elastisitas variabel pendapatan rumah tangga yang menggunakan alat kontrasepsi sebesar 0,842. Pemerintah sebaiknya tidak memfokuskan program KB hanya untuk keluarga yang kurang mampu, tapi juga untuk keluarga yang sejahtera. Badan Kependudukan dan Keluarga Berencana Nasional (BKKBN) diharapkan lebih meningkatkan penyuluhan dalam pemakaian alat kontrasepsi secara merata, agar jumlah penduduk yang tiap tahun semakin meningkat dapat terkendali. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study titled influence of socio-economic factors on the number of children on family in Teluk Village, South Purwokerto. The aims of this research were to determine the influence of socioeconomic factors on the number of children in family and also to determine the variables that most influence on the number of children in family in Teluk Village, in South Purwokerto Sub District. Factors expected to influence the number of children were household income, husband’s education level, wife's education level, wife's age, wife's employment status, contraception, and gender preference. The samples were 100 respondents drawn by slovin formula. The results showed that household income, educational level of husbands, wife's education level, wife’s age and contraception had significant effect on the number of children in family because (F statistic > F table and t statistic > t table), whereas wife’s employment status and gender preference did not significantly influence the number of children in family as (F count < F table and t count = t table). Household income was the most influential variable on the number of children because the household income variables were using contraception elasticity test was 0.842. The government should not only focus on family planning program for poor families, but also for prosperous family. National Population and Family Planning Board (BKKBN) was expected to further increase in using contraception counseling evenly, so that the population can be controlled. |
