| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul “Analisis Preferensi Mahasiswa dalam Pemilihan Kos di Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara”. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk menganalisis pengaruh pendapatan, jarak, harga sewa, dan fasilitas terhadap preferensi mahasiswa dalam pemilihan kos dan untuk menganalisis variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap preferensi mahasiswa dalam pemilihan kos. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode accidental sampling. Populasi dari penelitian ini yaitu mahasiswa Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Jenderal Soedirman tahun 2017-2019. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 95 responden. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer yang disebarkan melalui kuesioner dalam bentuk google form. Alat analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu regresi logistik biner. Hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini yaitu variabel pendapatan dan harga sewa berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap preferensi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi pendapatan yang dimiliki maka semakin tinggi pula kemungkinan mahasiswa memilih kos. Begitupun dengan harga sewa, semakin tingginya harga sewa yang diberikan maka semakin tinggi pula mahasiswa dalam memilih kos dibandingkan dengan selain kos. Variabel jarak tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan dan negatif terhadap variabel jarak dapat diartikan bahwa jauh dekatnya jarak dari kos menuju kampus tidak mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos. Sedangkan, variabel fasilitas tidak berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap preferensi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos yang artinya kelengkapan fasilitas yang disediakan tidak mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos. Diantara 4 variabel yang digunakan dalam penelitian, variabel yang paling berpengaruh terhadap preferensi dalam memilih kos yaitu variabel harga sewa. Implikasi yang dapat disimpulkan dari penelitian ini yaitu bagi penyedia kos perlu memperhatikan faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos sehingga dapat dijadikan salah satu upaya untuk evaluasi dalam menyediakan kos yang diminati oleh mahasiswa. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is entitled “Analysis of Student Preference in Choosing Rental Cost In North Purwokerto District”. The purpose of this study is to analyze effect of income, distance, rental cost and facility to student in choosing boarding house and to analyze variable that most affecting the student in choosing boarding house. This research uses accidental sampling method. The population of this study were students of Faculty of Economics and Business, Jenderal Soedirman University class of 2017-2019. Sample that used in this study was 95 respondents. This study uses primary data that distributed through a questionnaire in a form of google form. Analytical tool that used in this study is binary logistic regression. The result obtained from this study are income and rental prices variables have a significant effect on student preferences in choosing boarding house. This shows that higher the income, the higher possibility of students choosing boarding houses. The same goes for rental price, the higher the rental prices were given, the higher possibility of the student a boarding house compared to another kind of boarding house. Distance variable has no significant and negative effect on distance variable can be interpreted as the distance between the boarding house and campus has no effect on student in choosing boarding house. Meanwhile, facility has no significant and positive effect on student preferences in choosing boarding house, which means facilities that provided does not affect student in choosing boarding house. The most influential variable on student preferences in choosing boarding house is rental price. The implication that can be conclude from this study is that the boarding house providers need to pay attention to the factors that affect students in choosing boarding house so it can used as one of evaluation to provide boarding house that preferred by the student. |
