| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Tuntutan kasus malpraktek kepada penyedia tenaga kesehatan semakin banyak hal ini disebabkan kurang baiknya komunikasi dokter dan pasien. Tuntunan hukum tersebut dapat dicegah melalui komunikasi efektif yang baik antara dokter dan pasien. Komunikasi efektif dokter dan pasien merupakan salah satu bagian dalam proses pemberian informed consent.Informed consent merupakan pernyataan setuju dari pasien dan keluarga pasien mengenai tindakan medik setelah mendapatkan penjelasan informasi sebelumnya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui persepsi pasien dan keluarga pasien dalam proses informed consent pada instalasi rawat inap bedah RSUD Prof. DR. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara semi terstruktur. Responden pada penelitian ini adalah pasien dan keluarga pasien pada instalasi rawat inap bedah RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo dengan jumlah tujuh orang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah ”purposive sampling”. Fenomena yang dijumpai pada penelitian ini bahwa persepsi pasien dan keluarganya mengenai proses informed consent adalah sebuah tandatangan persetujuan yang merupakan persyaratan dari rumah sakit yang harus dipenuhi. Berdasarkan pengalaman dan harapan pasien dan keluarganya bahwa orang yang memberikan informasi mengenai penyakit pasien adalah dokter spesialis serta orang yang menerima informasi dan memberikan persetujuan penandatanganan adalah pasien bersama dengan keluarga.

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Charge of medical malpractice cases to the healthcare providers has been increased lately. That legal action could be prevented trough effective communication between doctor and patient, that is one part of informed consent process providing. Informed consent is shorthand for informed, voluntary, and decisionally-capacitated consent from patient and their family after getting medical information. The purpose of this research is to determine patient and its family perception in the process of informed consent on surgical unit at RSUD Prof. DR. Margono Soekarjo Purwokerto. The qualitative method was used in this research with semi-structured interview techniques. Then the respondents in this research were seven patients and their families on surgical unit at RSUD Prof. Dr. Margono Soekarjo. Sampling technique that was used was purposive sampling technique with data analysis using reduction data, presenting data and make conclusion. The phenomenon that was often seen in this research was patient and their family perceptions about informed consent process just only the approval sign (signature) of a hospital requirement that must be filled. Based on patient and their family’s experience and expectation that who must give the information about the disease or illness is specialist doctor, and who received information and filled approval sign were patient and its family. |
