Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah pada berbagai konsentrasi ekstrak rumput laut dan jenis media tanam, serta mengetahui interaksi antara konsentrasi ekstrak rumput laut dan jenis media tanam pada pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Krandegan, Kecamatan Puring, Kabupaten Kebumen pada bulan Februari-April 2021. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok Lengkap (RAKL) dengan 2 faktor dan 3 ulangan. Faktor pertama yaitu konsentrasi ekstrak rumput laut (0 ml/L, 0,5 ml/L, 1 ml/L dan 1,5 ml/L). Faktor kedua yaitu jenis media tanam (arang sekam, cocopeat dan arang sekam + cocopeat 50:50). Data di analisis menggunakan ANOVA dan uji DMRT pada taraf 5%. Variabel yang diamati yaitu tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai), jumlah anakan, luas daun (cm2), jumlah umbi, diameter umbi (cm), bobot umbi segar (g), bobot kering umbi askip (g), bobot umbi kering oven (g), bobot tanaman segar (g), bobot tanaman kering (g), bobot akar segar (g), bobot akar kering (g) dan bobot hasil tanaman (t/ha). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi esktrak rumput laut 1,5 ml/L memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman 24,02 cm, bobot umbi segar 16,43 g, bobot umbi kering askip 12,72 g, bobot umbi kering oven 1,59 g dan bobot hasil tanaman 4,54 t/ha. Arang sekam memberikan pengaruh terbaik terhadap bobot akar segar 0,96 g. Kombinasi arang sekam + cocopeat (50:50) memberikan pengaruh terbaik pada tinggi tanaman 24,63 cm, diameter umbi 1,37 cm, bobot umbi segar 18,30 g, bobot umbi kering askip 14,30 g, bobot umbi kering oven 1,63 g, bobot tanaman segar 22,36 g, bobot tanaman kering 3,58 g, bobot hasil tanaman 4,88 t/ha, jumlah anakan 3,93 anakan, luas daun 193,97 cm2. Interaksi antara konsentrasi ekstrak rumput laut dan jenis media tanam (konsentrasi 1,5 ml/L dan arang sekam 50% + cocopeat 50%) meningkatkan bobot umbi segar 20,45 g dan bobot umbi kering askip 16,51 g.

Inggris)The research aimed to determine growth and yiled of shallots due to the treatment of concentration of seaweed extract and media types, and determine the interaction between the concentration of seaweed extract and media types to growth and result of shallots. This research was carried out on February-April 2021 at Krandegan, Puring District, Kebumen Regency. The trial used a Completely Randomized Block with 2 factors and 3 replications. The first factor was concentration of seaweed extract (0 ml/L, 0.5 ml/L, 1 ml/L and 1.5 ml/L). The second factor was media types (husk charcoal, cocopeat and husk charcoal + cocopeat 50:50). Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and DMRT test at the 5% level. The observed variables were plant height (cm), number of leaves (leaves), number of tillers (tillers), leaf area (cm2), number of bulb, diameter of bulb (cm), fresh weight of bulb (g), dry weight of askip bulb (g), dry weight of oven bulb (g), fresh weight of plant (g), dry weight of plant (g), fresh weight of root (g), dry weight of root (g) and plant weight yield (t/ha). The results showed that application of 1,5 ml/L seaweed extract was the best concentration on plant height 24.02 cm, fresh weight of bulb 16.43 g, dry weight of askip bulb 12.72 g, dry weight of oven bulb 1.59 g and plant weight yield 4.54 t/ha. Husk charcoal was best media type on fresh weight of root 0.96 g, Husk charcoal + cocopeat with ratio of 50:50 was best media type on plant height of 24.63 cm, diameter of bulb 1.37 cm, fresh weight of bulb 18.30 g, dry weight of askip bulb 14.30 g, dry weight of oven bulb 1.63 g, fresh weight of plant 22.36 g, dry weight of plant 3.58 g, plant weight yield 4.88 t/ha, number of tillers 3.93 tillers and leaf area 193.97 cm2. The interaction between the concentration of seaweed extract and the media types (1.5 ml/L concentration and husk charcoal + cocopeat with ratio of 50:50) is the best interaction on the fresh weight of bulb 20.45 g and dry weight of askip bulb 16.51 g.
