| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Latar belakang: Perubahan kualitas udara terutama disebabkan oleh adanya emisi gas buang seperti gas Karbon monoksida (CO) dan Hidrokarbon (HC) dari kendaraan bermotor yang jumlahnya terus meningkat setiap tahun. Masyarakat dapat berisiko terkena pencemaran udara dari berbagai polutan. Paparan debu yang masuk ke saluran pernapasan dalam waktu yang lama dapat menimbulkan gangguang saluran pernapasan. Respon imun tubuh terhadap partikel debu ditandai antara lain oleh peningkatan mediator inflamasi yaitu Transforming Growth Faktor β-1 (TGF β-1) dan Interleukin (IL)-8. Tujuan: Mengetahui pengaruh paparan debu terhadap kadar TGF β-1 dan IL-8 serum pada pekerja parkir di Kecamatan Purwokerto, Kabupaten Banyumas Jawa Tengah. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan survei analitik secara comparative cross sectional yang dilakukan di Purwokerto Kabupaten Banyumas, Provinsi Jawa Tengah, Indonesia. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 35 juru parkir (outdoor) dan 35 karyawan dalam gedung (indoor) sebagai kelompok pembanding. Sampel darah dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan teknik concecutive sampling dan dianalisa dengan uji ELISA tipe sandwich. Uji statistik yang dilakukan pada penelitian ini adalah analisis univariat untuk dekriptif data, analisis bivariat menggunakan uji regresi linear sederhana, uji beda independent sampel t-test dan analisis multivariat regresi linear berganda (multiple). Hasil: Paparan debu berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kadar TGF β-1 serum (0,018), paparan debu tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kadar IL-8 serum (0,072) dan terdapat perbedaan kadar TGF β-1 dan IL-8 serum pada pekerja parkir (outdoor) dengan kelompok pembanding karyawan dalam gedung (indoor) dengan nilai p value 0,000. Kesimpulan: Paparan debu berpengaruh terhadap kadar TGF β-1 serum dan tidak berpengaruh terhadap kadar IL-8 serum. |

Inggris) | Background: Changes in air quality are mainly caused by the presence of exhaust gas emissions such as Carbon monoksida (CO) and Hidrocarbon (HC) gases from motor vehicles, the number of which continues to increase every year. People can be at risk of being exposed to air pollution from various pollutants. Exposure to dust that enters the respiratory tract for a long time can cause respiratory tract disorders. The body's immune response to dust particles is characterized by an increase in inflammatory mediators, namely Transforming Growth Factor -1 (TGF -1) and Interleukin (IL)-8. Aims: To determine the effect of dust exposure on serum TGF-β1 and IL-8 levels in parking workers in Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java. Methods: This research is a comparative cross sectional analytical survey conducted in Purwokerto, Banyumas Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia. This research was conducted on 35 parking attendants (outdoor) and 35 employees in the building (indoor) as a comparison group. Blood was collected using consecutive sampling technique and analyzed by sandwich type ELISA test. Statistikal tests carried out in this study were univariate analysis for descriptive data, bivariate analysis using simple linear regression, independent sample t-test and multivariate analysis of multiple linear regression. Results: Dust exposure significantly affected serum TGF β-1 levels (0.018), dust exposure did not significantly affect serum IL-8 levels (0.072) and there were differences in TGF β-1 and IL-8 serum levels in parking workers (outdoor) with the employee comparison group in the building (indoor) with a significance value of 0.000. Conclusion: Dust exposure has an effect on serum TGF β-1 levels and has no effect on serum IL-8 levels |
