| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Mahasiswa kedokteran preklinik menghadapi berbagai macam masalah selama masa pembelajaran mereka. Banyaknya tantangan yang dialami mahasiswa dapat menimbulkan depresi dan ide bunuh diri. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya korelasi antara tingkat depresi dengan ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa Jurusan Kedokteran Umum FK UNSOED. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian analitik observasional dengan desain penelitian cross-sectional. Teknik sampling menggunakan total sampling dan sampel penelitian ini berjumlah 453 mahasiswa. Tingkat depresi dan kemunculan ide bunuh diri diukur menggunakan kuesioner Beck’s Depression Inventory – II dan Beck’s Scale of Suicidal Ideation. Uji Spearman digunakan untuk mencari korelasi antar variabel. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini didapatkan tingkat depresi responden secara umum berkategori normal. Ditemukan kemunculan ide bunuh diri pada 0,8% mahasiswa Jurusan Kedokteran Umum FK UNSOED di Kabupaten Banyumas. Hasil uji statistik menggunakan uji Spearman didapatkan nilai p = 0,00 (p<0,05) dan nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,528. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi antara tingkat depresi dengan kejadian munculnya ide bunuh diri pada mahasiswa Jurusan Kedokteran Umum FK UNSOED. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Preclinical medical students face various issues during their study period. The pressures they face could potentially cause depression and suicidal ideation to manifest. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between depression level and the emergence of suicide ideation among preclinical medical students of UNSOED Medical Faculty in Banyumas Regency. This study used an observational analytic research method with a cross-sectional research design. Total sampling was used as the sampling technique with 453 students as samples. The level of depression and the emergence of suicide ideation were measured using a questionnaire. The Spearman test was used to find the correlation between variables. Based on the research results, it was found that the respondents' stress level was generally categorized as normal. Suicide ideation was found in 0,8% of respondents. A correlation was found between 2 variables with p value = 0,00 (p<0,05) and correlation coefficient value of 0,528. The results of this study indicate that there is a correlation between the level of depression and the emergence of suicide ideation among UNSOED Medical Faculty preclinical students. |
