| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini berjudul Makna dan Fungsi Game Online Free Fire dalam Turnamen “Free Fire Indonesia Masters 2021 Spring”. Penelitian ini dilakukan karena adanya istilah unik yang digunakan dan hanya dapat dipahami oleh penggunanya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis makna dan fungsi register game online Free Fire. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan metode simak dengan teknik lanjutan yaitu simak bebas libat cakap dan teknik catat. Metode analisis data yang digunakan adalah metode padan dengan teknik dasar pilah unsur penentu. Hasil penelitian yang ditemukan 1) jenis register yang dikelompokan menjadi dua yaitu register selingkung terbatas dan register selingkung terbuka, 2) makna yang terkandung sesuai dengan konteks, dan 3) fungsi yang meliputi a) fungsi kognitif ; b) fungsi emotif; c) fungsi retorikal; dan d) fungsi interpersonal. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is entitled The Meaning and Functions of the Free Fire Online Game in the "Free Fire Indonesia Masters 2021 Spring" Tournament. This research needs to be done because of the unique terms used and can only be understood by the users. The purpose of this research is to analyze the meaning and function of register the online game Free Fire. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection was carried out using the listening method with advanced techniques, namely free listening, conversational involvement and note-taking techniques. The data analysis method used is the identity method with the basic technique of sorting the determining elements. The results of the study found 1) types of registers which were grouped into two, namely limited envelope registers and open envelope registers, 2) the meaning contained in accordance with the context, and 3) functions that included a) cognitive functions; b) emotive function; c) rhetorical function; and d) interpersonal function. |
