| Judul Artikel | A PHENOMENOLOGICAL STUDY OF FANFICTION WRITTEN BY SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS DIRECTIONERS IN WATTPAD |
| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini difokuskan untuk memahami dan mengidentifikasi proses, masalah, dan alternatif dalam pembuatan fanfiksi bahasa Inggris oleh siswa SMA Directioners di @onedfess fan base Twitter yang menulis fanfiksi di Wattpad. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) Untuk mengetahui proses penulisan fanfiction bahasa Inggris oleh siswa SMA Directioners di Wattpad, (2) Untuk mengidentifikasi masalah yang dihadapi oleh siswa SMA Directioners dalam membuat fanfiction bahasa Inggris di Wattpad. (3) Untuk mengeksplorasi bagaimana para siswa SMA Directioners mengatasi masalah dalam membuat fanfiction bahasa Inggris di Wattpad. Metodologi penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif eksploratif dengan pendekatan fenomenologis. Sampel penelitian ini adalah 18 siswa SMA kelas 10-12 dari fanbase @onedfess di Twitter yang menjadi penulis fanfiksi di Wattpad. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara dan observasi. Teknik analisis data adalah analisis naratif. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah: (1) semua siswa melakukan proses menulis menurut pandangan Harmer meskipun setiap proses memiliki aktivitas yang berbeda. Hal ini terjadi karena siswa menulis sesuai dengan kemampuannya masing-masing dalam bahasa Inggris. (2) Masalah yang sering dialami siswa dalam menulis fanfiction dalam bahasa Inggris antara lain; kesalahan tata bahasa, kurangnya kosa kata, blok penulis, ketidakmampuan membuat kalimat efektif, kebingungan dalam menerapkan bahasa formal dan informal dan tantangan untuk menciptakan konflik dan suasana cerita (3) solusi yang biasanya dilakukan siswa ketika menghadapinya Permasalahannya adalah meminta bantuan kepada temannya, mencari referensi seperti internet, film, buku, dan lagu, istirahat sejenak dan menggunakan kamus. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is focused to understand and identify the process, problems and alternatives in creating English fanfictions by high school students Directioners on @onedfess twitter fan base who write the stories in Wattpad. The purposes of this research are: (1) To investigate the process of writing English fanfiction by students Directioners in Wattpad, (2) To identify the problems faced by high school students Directioners in creating an English fanfiction in Wattpad. (3) To explore how the students Directioners cope with the problems in creating English fanfiction in Wattpad. The methodology of this research is exploratory qualitative research with phenomenological approach. The participants of this research were 18 senior high school students grade 10-12 from @onedfess fan base on Twitter as fanfiction writer in Wattpad. The data were collected through interview and observation. The technique of data analysis was narrative analysis. The results of this research are: (1) all students carried out the writing process according to Harmer's view even though each process has different activities. This happens because students write according to their respective abilities in English. (2) The problems that were often experienced by students in writing fanfiction in English include; grammar errors, lack of vocabulary, writer's block, the inability to make effective sentences, the confusion in applying formal and informal language and the challenge to create conflicts and atmosphere to the story (3) solutions that were usually done by students when they encountered these problems was ask help to their friends, looked up references such as internet, movies, books, and songs, took a break and used dictionary. |
