| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Artikel hasil penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hipotesis dan mengukur besar pengaruh status sosial ekonomi terhadap partisipasi politik masyarakat pada Pilkada Kabupaten Banyumas tahun 2018 di Kelurahan Mersi. Dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dalam bingkai perspektif behavioral dan paradigma positivism, penelitian ini berjenis penelitian verifikatif. Hasil peneltian tersebut mengungkapkan bahwa terhdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara status sosial ekonomi dengan partisipasi politik masyarakat pada Pilkada Kabupaten Banyumas tahun 2018 di Kelurahan Mersi. Hal tersebut dibuktikan oleh hasil uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan teknik korelasi rank spearman yang menghasilkan nilai signifikansi (2-tailed) sebesar 0,009. Nilai positif pada koefisien korelasi juga menunjukkan adanya hubungan antara varibael status sosial ekonomi dengan partisipasi masyarakat yang artinya bahwa semakin tinggi statstus sosial ekonomi masyarakat, maka semakin tinggi pula partisipasi masyarakat. Begitu pula jika semakin rendah status sosial ekonomi masyarakat, maka semakin rendah pula tingkat partisipasi masyarakatnya. Dengan demikian, maka proposisi sejumlah penelitian ahli yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh antara status sosial ekonomi terhadap partisipasi politik dapat diterima. Namun, untuk meningkatkan nilai koefisien determinasi pada variabel status sosial ekonomi (x) dengan variabel partisipasi politik masyarakat (Y), diperlukan variabel bebas lainnya. |

Inggris) | The article on the results of this study aims to test the hypothesis and measure the influence of socio-economic status on people's political participation in the 2018 local leaders election in sub-district Mersi. By using quantitative methods in the framework of the behavioral perspective and positivism paradigm, this research is a verification research type. The result of this study reveals that there is a significant influence between socio-economic status and community political participation in the 2018 local leaders election in sub-district Mersi. This is evidenced by the results of the research hypothesis test using the Spearman rank correlation technique which produces a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.009. The positive value on the correlation coefficient also shows a relationship between the variables of socio-economic status and political participation, which means that the higher the socio-economic status of the community, the higher the participation. Likewise, if the lower the socio-economic status of the community, the lower the level of participation. Thus, the proposition of a number of expert studies which states that there is an influence between socio-economic status on political participation is acceptable. However, to increase the coefficient of determination on the socio-economic status variable (x) with the public political participation variable (Y), other independent variables are needed. |
