| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Long-tailed macaque (Macaca fascicularis) is one of primates that can be found easily almost in all over of Indonesia. Population of long-tailed macaque found in Makam Mbah Agung Karangbanar Religious Recreation Forest (RRF), Kalisalak, Kebasen, which residential area is found nearby the site. The existence of human and macaque in the same area make interaction occur between these both organisms. This research aimed to know the interaction between human and long-tailed macaque in Kalisalak as the religious destination and to know human perception toward macaques in Kalisalak. Data was collected by ad libitum sampling and interview with questionnaire. The result of this research showed that human-macaques interaction initiated by human tend to be neutral, while the interaction initiated by macaques tend to be affiliative. Human perception, both locals and visitors, toward macaques in Kalisalak showed positive results that they were amused by the presence of the macaques in the site. |
