Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Ikan sidat (Anguilla bicolor McClelland) merupakan ikan katadromus sehingga dalam kondisi budidaya sulit matang gonad. Salah satu upaya pengembangan budidaya ikan sidat dengan menghitung nilai indeks somatisuntuk memprediksi aktivitas reproduksinya. Oleh karena itu, studi tentang aspek reproduksi ikan sidat menarik untuk dikaji.. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui nilai gonado somatic index (GSI), hepato somatic index (HSI), viscero somatic index (VSI) dan indeks mata A. bicolor pada fase reproduksi yang berbeda dan mengetahui korelasi antara GSI, HSI, VSI dan indeks mata A. bicolor dengan fase reproduksi. Penelitian ilakukan dengan metode survei. Sampel diperoleh dari pengepul ikan sidat di Cilacap. Variabel terikat berupa indeks somatik (GSI, HSI, VSI dan indeks mata). Variabel bebas berupa fase reproduksi ikan sidat. Parameter berupa panjang tubuh ikan, bobot tubuh ikan, bobot gonad, bobot hepar, bobot organ visceral dan diameter mata. Hasil penelitian didapatkan nilai GSI A. bicolor fase yellow eel sebesar 0,362 ± 0,32 % meningkat pada fase silver eel sebesar 1,945 ± 0,92 %. Nilai HSI fase yellow eel sebesar 1,256 ± 0,46 % meningkat pada fase silver eel yaitu sebesar 1,545 ± 0,14 %. Nilai VSI fase yellow eel sebesar 4,415 ± 1,03 % mengalami penurunan pada fase silver eel yaitu sebesar 3,545 ± 0,41 %. Nilai indeks mata fase yellow eel sebesar 4,006 ± 1,78 meningkat pada fase silver eel sebesar 8,495 ± 0,77. Hasil analisis hubungan GSI dengan fase reproduksi menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan koefisien korelasi 0,655, persamaan regresi linier y = -1,220 + 1,582x, dan nilai hitung (7,123) > t tabel (2,048407). Hasil analisis hubungan HSI dengan fase reproduksi menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan koefisien korelasi 0,433, persamaan regresi linier y = 0,067 + 0,382 x, dan nilai t hitung (1,760) < t tabel (2,048407). Hasil analisis hubungan VSI dengan fase reproduksi menunjukkan korelasi negatif dengan koefisien korelasi -0,462, persamaan regresi linier y = 5,285 + 0,870 x, dan nilai t hitung (1,999) < t tabel (2,048407). Hasil analisis hubungan indeks mata dengan fase reproduksi menunjukkan korelasi positif dengan koefisien korelasi 0,645, persamaan regresi linier y = -0,485 + 4,490 x, dan nilai t hitung (5,982) > t tabel (2,048407). Berdasarkan hasil yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa Nilai GSI, HSI dan indeks mata A. bicolor fase yellow eel lebih rendah dibandingkan fase silver eel, sedangkan nilai VSI fase fase yellow eel lebih tinggi dibandingkan fase silver eel. Nilai GSI, HSI dan indeks mata berkorelasi positif dengan fase reproduksi dan nilai VSI berkorelasi negatif dengan fase reproduksi pada A. bicolor, sehingga semakin meningkatnya fase reproduksi maka nilai GSI, HSI dan indeks mata semakin tinggi namun nilai VSI semakin rendah.

Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris)The eel (Anguilla bicolor McClelland) is a catadromous fish so that in cultural conditions it is difficult to mature gonads. One of the efforts to develop eel cultivation is to calculate the somatic index value to predict its reproductive activity. Therefore, it is interesting to study the reproductive aspects of eels. The purpose of this study was to determine the value of the gonado somatic index (GSI), hepato somatic index (HSI), viscero somatic index (VSI) and eye index of A. bicolor in the reproductive phase. and knowing the correlation between GSI, HSI, VSI and A. bicolor eye index with the reproductive phase. The research was conducted using a survey method. Samples were obtained from eel collectors in Cilacap. The dependent variable is somatic index (GSI, HSI, VSI and eye index). The independent variable is the reproductive phase of eel. Parameters were fish body length, fish body weight, gonad weight, liver weight, visceral organ weight and eye diameter. The results showed that the GSI value of A. bicolor in the yellow eel phase was 0.362 ± 0.32 % and increased in the silver eel phase by 1.945 ± 0.92%. The HSI value of the yellow eel phase was 1.256 ± 0.46%, which increased in the silver eel phase by 1.545 ± 0.14%. The VSI value of the yellow eel phase was 4.415 ± 1.03%, an decreased in the silver eel phase was 3.545 ± 0.41%. The yellow eel eye index value of 4.006 ± 1.78 increased in the silver eel phase of 8.495 ± 0.77. The results of the analysis of the relationship between GSI and the reproductive phase showed a positive correlation with a correlation coefficient of 0.655, linear regression equation y = -1.220 + 1.582x, and arithmetic value (7.123) > t table (2.048407). The results of the analysis of the relationship between HSI and the reproductive phase showed a positive correlation with a correlation coefficient of 0.433, linear regression equation y = 0.067 + 0.382 x, and the value of t count (1.760) < t table (2.048407). The results of the analysis of the relationship between VSI and the reproductive phase showed a negative correlation with a correlation coefficient of -0.462, linear regression equation y = 5.285 + 0.870 x, and the value of t count (1.999) < t table (2.048407). The results of the analysis of the relationship between the eye index and the reproductive phase showed a positive correlation with a correlation coefficient of 0.645, linear regression equation y = -0.485 + 4.490 x, and the value of t arithmetic (5.982) > t table (2.048407). Based on the results obtained, it can be concluded that the GSI, HSI, and eye index values of A. bicolor yellow eel phase were lower than the silver eel phase, while the VSI value of the yellow eel phase was higher than the silver eel phase. GSI, HSI, and eye index values were positively correlated with the reproductive phase and VSI values were negatively correlated with the reproductive phase in A. bicolor, so that the higher the reproductive phase, the higher the GSI, HSI, and eye index values but the lower the VSI values.
