| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis aspek konflik sosial yang meliputi faktor penyebab konflik, bentuk konflik dan penyelesaian konflik yang terjadi dalam novel Burung Kayu karya Niduparas Erlang dengan berlandaskan teori konflik oleh Soerjono Soekanto. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kualitatif. Objek penelitian ini adalah novel Burung Kayu karya Niduparas Erlang. Metode pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dengan menggunakan teknik baca dan catat. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kutipan (kata, frasa, dan klausa), potongan, atau fragmen dari teks atau naskah dalam novel. Selain itu, data pendukung dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari buku-buku teori, artikel, jurnal, dan skripsi dalam bentuk cetak maupun elektronik yang dapat menunjang penelitian ini. Sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian, hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya konflik sosial pada tokoh-tokoh dalam novel Burung Kayu karya Niduparas Erlang. Penyebab konflik meliputi perbedaan individu, perbedaan kepentingan dan perubahan sosial. Bentuk konflik dalam novel Burung Kayu meliputi pertentangan pribadi dan pertentangan politik. Dan penyelesaian konflik meliputi; Compromise yaitu suatu cara dimana pihak-pihak yang terlibat saling mengurangi tuntutannya, agar tercapai suatu penyelesaian terhadap perselisihan yang ada, Arbitration yaitu suatu cara untuk mencapai suatu kesepakatan diantara kedua belah pihak. Conciliation yaitu suatu usaha untuk mempertemukan keinginan-keinginan dari pihak-pihak yang berselisih demi tercapainya suatu persetujuan bersama. |

Inggris) | This study aims to analyze aspects of social conflict which include factors the causes of conflict, forms of conflict and conflict resolution that occur in the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang based on conflict theory by Soerjono Soekanto. The method used to analyze the data in this study is a qualitative method. The object of this research is the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang. The data collection method in this study was obtained by using reading and note-taking techniques. Sources of data in this study are quotations (words, phrases, and clauses), snippets, or fragments of the text or manuscript in the novel. In addition, supporting data in this study were obtained from theoretical books, articles, journals, and theses in printed or electronic form that can support this research. In accordance with the research objectives, the results of this study indicate that there is a social conflict in the characters in the novel Burung Kayu by Niduparas Erlang. The causes of social conflict include individual differences, differences in interests and social change. The forms of social conflict in Burung Kayu novel include personal conflict and political conflict. And the resolution of social conflicts includes: Compromise, which is a way in which the parties involved reduce each other's demands, in order to reach a settlement of existing disputes, Arbitration is a way to reach an agreement between the two parties Conciliation is an attempt to bring together the wishes of the disputing parties in order to reach a mutual agreement. |
