| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai alih kode dalam kanal YouTube Nihongo Mantappu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeksripsikan jenis alih kode dan faktor penyebab alih kode dalam kanal YouTube Nihongo Mantappu. Penelitian ini termasuk dalam penelitian deksriptif kualitatif. Data yang digunakan berupa percakapan antara penutur dan lawan tutur. Sumber Data yang digunakan berupa kanal YouTube Nihongo Mantappu. Selanjutnya, pengumpulan data penelitian yang dilakukan dengan cara simak catat. Data diidentifikasi dan dianalisis berdasarkan teori sosiolinguistik khususnya alih kode dari Jendra, Suwito dan Widjajahkusuma. Hasil penelitian ini adalah menemukan adanya peristiwa alih kode antarbahasa yaitu bahasa Jepang, bahasa Inggris, dan bahasa Indonesia, atau sebaliknya. Alih kode antarragam bahasa meliputi bahasa Jepang futsukei dan bahasa Jepang teinen atau sebaliknya. Faktor yang menjadi penyebab terjadinya peristiwa alih kode tersebut adalah (1) penutur: untuk menghormati lawan tutur, mengimbangi lawan tutur, terpengaruh bahasa yang digunakan oleh lawan tutur, (2) lawan tutur: untuk mengimbangi bahasa yang digunakan oleh penutur, merasa ganjil jika tidak menggunakan bahasa yang digunakan oleh penutur dan terpengaruh oleh bahasa yang digunakan penutur, (3) hadirnya orang ketiga, (4) topik pembicaraan: tujuannnya untuk menunjukkan adanya situasi pembicaraan dari formal ke informal atau sebaliknya, (5) untuk membangkitkan humor: tujuannya untuk menghibur penonton dan membuat suasana menjadi cair, (6) sekedar bergengsi atau sekedar ingin terlihat terpelajar: tujuannya untuk menunjukkan bahwa bahasa yang sedang digunakan lebih bergengsi dan ingin terlihat terpelajar. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa banyak ditemukan jenis alih kode ekstern sebanyak 23 data dan faktor penyebab dikarenakan sekedar bergengsi sebanyak 11 data. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The study discusses code switching on the Nihongo Mantappu's YouTube channel. This research aims to describe the types of code switching and the causes of code switching case on the Nihongo Mantappu's YouTube channel. The research method used in this research is qualitative descriptive research. The data used within this research is in the form of fragments of conversations between the speaker and the interlocutor. Furthermore, the research data collection techniques was carried out by means of note-taking. These data were identified and analyzed by using code switching theory from sociolinguistic theory which is proposed by Jendra, Suwito and Widjajahkusuma. The result of this research is to find the occurrence of code switching case between the languages, those languages namely Japanese, English and Indonesian or vice versa. Code switching also includes between various languages such as Japanese futsukei and Japanese teinen or vice versa. The factors that cause the code-switching case are (1) speaker: to respect the interlocutor, compensates for the interlocutor, is influenced by the language used by the interlocutor, (2) the interlocutor: to compensate for the language used by the speaker, feels weird if not using the language used by the speaker, and is influenced by the language used by the speaker, (3) the presence of a third person, (4) the topic of conversation: the purpose is to show the change of conversation situation from formal to informal or vice versa, (5) to evoke humor: the purpose is to entertain the audience and to lighten the mood (6) just want to be prestigious or want to look educated: it is intended to show that the language being used is more prestigious and wants to look educated.
