Penelitian ini berfokus pada struktur preferensi dari tindakan tidak dikehendaki oleh penutur kedua di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016 dengan menggunakan dua pertanyaan penelitian. Pertanyaan pertama adalah apa saja tipe dari tindakan tidak dikehendaki yang digunakan oleh penutur kedua di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016? Ini akan menggambarkan macam ragam tindakan tidak dikehendaki di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016. Pertanyaan kedua adalah Bagaimana cara Penutur kedua melakukan tindakan tidak dikehendaki di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016? Pertanyaan kedua menjelaskan proses penggunaan tindakan tidak dikehendaki oleh penutur kedua di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016. Pertanyaan pertama mengeksplorasi berbagai jenis tindakan tidak dikehendaki yang terdapat dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016. Pertanyaan kedua menjelaskan bagaimana cara penutur kedua melakukan tindakan tidak dikehendaki di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori pragmatik yang dikemukakan oleh Levinson (1993) dan Yule (1996), analisis percakapan dan struktur preferensi tindakan tidak dikehendaki yang dilakukan oleh penutur kedua. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah tuturan penutur kedua yang terdapat pada transkip debat. Peneliti menemukan 18 tindakan tidak dikehendaki. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa terdapat tiga jenis tindakan tidak dikehendaki pada penutur kedua. Tiga jenis tindakan tidak dikehendaki tersebut adalah (1) Assesment- disagreement 61,1%, (2) Blame-Denial 33,3%, (3) Proposal-Disagreement 5,6%. Bagaimana cara penutur kedua melakukan dispreferred act di dalam The Future American President-First Debate 2016 dikategorikan ke dalam dua cara, yaitu, (1) Prefacing 88,8%, (2) Appealing for Understanding 11,2% . Mempelajari tindakan tidak dikehendaki bisa dilakukan dengan menganalisis di dalam debat karena penggunaan bahasa di dalam debat sangat berbeda dengan bahasa yang digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Peneliti berharap bahwa penelitian ini dapat memberikan beberapa informasi terkait dengan tindakan tidak dikehendaki di dalam debat maupun percakapan lainnya. Demi kesempurnaan penelitian, peneliti selanjutnya dapat melakukan penelitian yang berhubungan dengan penggunaan tindakan tidak dikehendaki yang dipengahuhi oleh gender, terutama dalam bahasa wanita. |

This research concern on the preference structure of dispreferred acts on the second pair part in the Future American President-First Debate 2016 with two research questions. The first question is what are the types of dispreferred acts in the second turn found in the future American president-first debate? It mainly describes the various types of dispreferred acts in the future American president- first debate. The second research question is How do the participants of the future American president-first debate produce dispreferred acts in the second pair part in the conversation? It present the ways of doing dispreferred acts in the second turn which have been done by the participants in the future American president- first debate. The first research question explores various types of dispreferred act in the future american president-first debate. The second research question present the way of dispreferred act by the second turn. The pragmatic theories by Levinson (1993) and Yule (1996), conversation analysis and preference structure of doing dispreferred act by second turn are required in this research to answer the research question. The data sources in this research are the second’s pair part utterances in the form of transcript debate. The researcher founds 18 dispreferred act by second pair part. The result of this research shows that there are three types of dispreferred acts by second pair part,. They are (1) Assesment-disagreement 61,1%, (2) Blame-Denial 33,3%, (3) Proposal-Disagreement 5,6%. The ways of doing dispreferred act on the second turn in The Future American President-First Debate can be categorized into two. They are (1) Prefacing 88,8%, (2) Appealing for Understanding 11,2% . To learn deeper the use of dispreferred act on the second pair in society, since this study is under the umbrella of pragmatics approach which commonly found in daily life. The researcher hopes the readers to get more knowledge in dispreferred act on the second pair part in the daily life and the other conversation like debate etc. To get the perfection of findings, future researcher might take another research related to dispreferred act, for instance they can analyze the influence of gender in the use of dispreferred act on the second pair part, particularly in women language. |
