| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif pada perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama 2016-2020. Penelitian ini berjudul “Pengaruh Struktur Modal dan Proporsi Gender Dewan Direksi terhadap Kinerja Keuangan dengan Ukuran Perusahaan sebagai Variabel Pemoderasi”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh struktur modal dan proporsi gender dewan direksi terhadap kinerja keuangan serta menganalisis peran ukuran perusahaan dalam memoderasi pengaruh pengaruh struktur modal dan proporsi gender dewan direksi terhadap kinerja keuangan. Populasi pada penelitian ini adalah perusahaan manufaktur sub sektor makanan dan minuman yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama 2016-2020, dengan pemilihan sampel dilakukan menggunakan metode purposive sampling, sehingga diperoleh sampel sebanyak 13 perusahaan. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linear berganda dan analisis regresi moderasi. Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa: (1) Struktur modal berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja keuangan; (2) proporsi gender dewan direksi berpengaruh negatif terhadap kinerja keuangan; (3) Ukuran perusahaan memiliki efek moderasi positif pada pengaruh struktur modal terhadap kinerja keuangan; (4) Ukuran perusahaan tidak memiliki efek moderasi pada pengaruh proporsi gender dewan direksi terhadap kinerja keuangan. Implikasi pada penelitian ini antara lain perusahaan sebaiknya memperhatikan komposisi struktur modalnya serta lebih mengoptimalkan penggunaan dana internal. Perusahaan harus lebih memperhatikan kualitas dewan direksinya. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari tingkat pendidikan serta pengalaman yang dimiliki sebelumnya. Bagi perusahaan kecil, kebijakan utang harus benar-benar diperhatikan. Perusahaan harus memiliki aset yang cukup untuk mengantisipasi jika di kemudian hari terjadi gagal bayar. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is a quantitative study on food and beverage sub-sector manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2020. This study entitled "The Effect of Capital Structure and Gender Proportion of the Board of Directors on Financial Performance with Company Size as Moderating Variable". This study aims to analyze the effect of capital structure and the gender proportion of the board of directors on financial performance and to analyze the role of firm size in moderating the effect of capital structure and the proportion of gender of the board of directors on financial performance. The population in this study were manufacturing companies in the food and beverage sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2016-2020, with the selection of samples using the purposive sampling method, to obtain a sample of 13 companies. The data obtained were analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis techniques and moderated regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: (1) Capital structure has a negative effect on financial performance; (2) the gender proportion of the board of directors has a negative effect on financial performance; (3) Firm size has a positive moderating effect on the effect of capital structure on financial performance; (4) Firm size does not have a moderating effect on the effect of the gender proportion of the board of directors on financial performance. The implications of this research include that the company should pay attention to the composition of its capital structure and optimize the use of internal funds. Companies should pay more attention to the quality of their board of directors. This can be seen from the level of education and previous experience. For small companies, debt policy must be considered. The company must have sufficient assets to anticipate if future there is a failure to pay. |
