| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian Ini Berjudul “Analysis of Students Preference for Boarding Houses in Grendeng North Purwokerto”.Universitas Jenderal Soedirman merupakan universitas terbesar di wilayah Banyumas yang mampu menarik lulusan sekolah menengah atas untuk melanjutkan studi di kampus ini. Keberadaan kampus ini sangat mempengaruhi jumlah kos khususnya di lingkungan sekitar kampus. Penelitian ini menganalisis pengaruh variabel harga, pendapatan, dan jarak terhadap preferensi kos mahasiwa di Kelurahan Grendeng Purwokerto Utara. Selain itu penelitian ini juga menggambarkan variabel terhadap preferensi kos di Kelurahan Grendeng Purwokerto Utara. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode statistik deskriptif kuantitatif. Data berupa data harga, pendapatan, dan jarak yang diperoleh dengan metode wawancara serta kuisioner. Data dianalisis berdasarkan teori preferensi dan permintaan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variabel harga yang paling dominan sebesar 50% terhadap preferensi kos mahasiswa dan pendapatan yang paling dominan sebesar 39% terhadap preferensi kos mahsiswa, sedangkan variabel jarak yang paling dominan sebesar 40% terhadap preferensi kos mahasiswa di Kelurahan Grendeng Kecamatan Purwokerto Utara Kabupaten Banyumas. Implikasi dari kesimpulan diatas yaitu harga dengan pembayaran biaya kos dapat dilakukan secara bulanan, dimana mahasiswa beranggapan bahwa pembayaran secara bulanan lebih meringankan beban, daripada pembayaran secara tahunan yang dibayarkan sekaligus. Pendapatan orang tua menjadi salah satu faktor preferensi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos, artinya besar kecilnya pendapatan orang tua akan mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memilih kos. Sedangkan jarak kos membantu mahasiswa untuk menghemat biaya transportasi, dimana mahasiswa setuju memilih jarak kos untuk menghemat biaya transportasi untuk menunjang kebutuhan lainnya. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This research is entitled "Analysis of Students Preference for Boarding Houses in Grendeng North Purwokerto". Jenderal Sudirman University is the largest university in the Banyumas area which is able to attract high school graduates to continue their studies at this campus. The existence of this campus greatly affects the number of boarding houses, especially in the environment around campus. This study analyzes the effect of price, income, and distance variables on student boarding preferences in Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto. In addition, this study also describes the variables on the preference of boarding houses in the Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto. The research method used is descriptive quantitative statistical method. Data in the form of price, income, and distance data obtained by interview and questionnaire methods. The data were analyzed based on the theory of preference and demand. The results showed that the most dominant price variable was 50% of student boarding preferences and the most dominant income was 39% of student boarding preferences, while the most dominant distance variable was 40% of student boarding preferences in Grendeng Village, North Purwokerto District, Banyumas Regency. As implication of the conclusion above is that the price with the payment of boarding fees can be done on a monthly basis, where students think that monthly payments are more burdensome than annual payments that are paid all at once. Parent's income is one of the student's preference factors in choosing boarding houses, meaning that the size of parents' income will affect students in choosing boarding houses. While the boarding distance helps students to save on transportation costs, where students agree to choose the boarding distance to save transportation costs to support other needs. |
