| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Experimental Farm, Fakultas Peternakan, Universitas Jenderal Soedirman pada tanggal 23 Desember 2020 sampai 23 Februari 2021. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengaruhi pengaruh suplementasi tepung kunyit dalam pakan terhadap Haugh Unit dan Spesifik Grafitasi Telur. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah ayam niaga petelur berumur 45 minggu sebanyak 80 ekor. Bahan penelitian terdiri atas: Tepung kunyit (Curcuma Domestica Val), pakan ayam periode produksi yang terdiri atas jagung, bungkil kacang kedelai, corn gluten meal, tepung daging dan tulang, tepung ikan, dedak padi, wheat bran, pollard, bungkil biji-bijian, minyak kalsium, phosphorus, sodium bicarbonate, vitamin trance mineral, asam amino dan anti oksidan dengan kandungan Kadar air (Max 13%), Protein kasar (16-18%), Lemak (Max 7%), Serat kasar (Max 6,5%), Abu (Max 14%), Kalsium (3,70-4,25%), Phospor (0,6-1%) dan Aflatoksin (Max 50 ppb). Peralatan yang digunakan meliputi: kandang batere dilengkapi tempat pakan dan minum, timbangan, mikrometer sekrup, dan hidrometer. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lenkap (RAL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental dengan penambahan suplementasi tepung kunyit sebanyak 4 level yaitu P0=0% (kontrol), P1= Pakan Basal dengan tepung kunyit sebanyak 1%, P2= Pakan Basal dengan tepung kunyit sebanyak 2%, dan P3= Pakan Basal dengan tepung kunyit sebanyak 3%. Setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 5 kali dan setiap unit percobaan terdiri dari 4 ekor ayam niaga petelur. Data hasil penelitian ditabulasikan, kemudian data dianalisis mengguanakan analisis variansi (ANAVA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan suplementasi tepung kunyit berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0,05) terhadap Haugh Unit dan Spesifik Grafitasi Telur. Rataan haugh unit pada P0 (87,13±12,52), P1 (88,08±1,09), P2 (88,76±17,89), P3 (88,84±6,89). Sedangkan rataan spesifik grafitasi telur pada P0 (1,104±1,09E-06), P1 (1,102±3,59E-06), P2 (1,103±7,34E-06), P3 (1,101±7,5E-06). Kesimpulan bahwa penambahan suplementasi tepung kunyit hingga 3% tidak meningkatkan nilai haugh unit dan spesifik grafitasi telur pada ayam niaga petelur. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | "Effect of turmeric powder supplementation on haugh unit dan egg specific gravity in laying hens". This research was conducted at Experimental Farm and Livestock Product Technology Laboratory of Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Soedirman University, from December 23, 2020, to February 23, 2021. This study aimed to determine of giving turmeric powder supplementation into laying diet on haugh unit and egg specific gravity. The research material used was 80 laying hens aged 45 weeks. The research material consisted of turmeric powder, feed laying period consisting of corn, soybean meal, corn gluten meal, meat and bone meal, fish meal, rice bran, wheat bran, pollard, grain flour, oil. calcium, phosphorus, sodium bicarbonate, trance mineral vitamins, amino acids and anti-oxidants with water content (Max 13%), Crude Protein (16-18%), Fat (Max 7%), Crude Fiber (Max 6.5%) , Ash (Max 14%), Calcium (3.70-4.25%), Phosphorus (0.6-1%) and Aflatoxin (Max 50 ppb). The equipment used included: battery cage equipped with feed and drink containers, scales, and hydrometer. The study was conducted based on a completely randomized design (CRD). The treatment was turmeric powder supplementation on basal feed consisting of 4 levels, i.e., P0=0% (control), P1= Basal feed with turmeric powder 1%, P2= Basal feed with turmeric powder 2%, dan P3= Basal feed with turmeric powder 3%. Each treatment was repeated five times, and each experimental unit consisted of 4 laying hens. The research data were tabulated and then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). The result showed that turmeric powder supplementation had no significant effect (p>0.05) on haugh unit and egg-specific gravity. The average haugh unit was at P0 (87,13±12,52), P1 (88,08±1,09), P2 (88,76±17,89), P3 (88,84±6,89). The average egg specific gravity was at P0 (1,104±1,09E-06), P1 (1,102±3,59E-06), P2 (1,103±7,34E-06), P3 (1,101±7,5E-06). Based on the study results, it can be concluded that the supplementation of turmeric powder up to 3% into laying hen diets can not increase haugh unit and egg specific gravity. |
