| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini membahas mengenai bentuk representasi feminisme yang ada pada video klip dan lirik lagu Sit Still, Look Pretty milik Daya. Visualisasi dalam video klip serta didukung oleh lirik lagu yang memadai saat ini banyak menyuarakan isu feminisme. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan dan menjelaskan bentuk aliran feminisme yang menjadi representasi dalam video klip dan lirik lagu Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan analisis semiotika John Fiske mengenai kode televisi. Kode-kode tersebut terdiri dari tiga level, yaitu level realitas, level representasi dan level ideologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa video klip dan lirik lagu Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty mengandung bentuk representasi dari gerakan feminisme. Video klip dan lirik lagu ini menjelaskan bagaimana perempuan dikonstruksi dan dikendalikan oleh sistem patrarki. Serta bagaimana perlawanan perempuan terhadap hal tersebut. Ditinjau dari level realitas, ideologi feminisme dalam video klip dan lirik lagu Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty dapat dilihat melalui kode penampilan, lingkungan, perilaku, gestur, dan ekspresi. Ditinjau dari level representasi, ideologi feminisme diwakili melalui kode kamera, pencahayaan, setting, karakter dan lirik lagu. Sedangkan ditinjau dari level ideologi, dapat ditemukan feminisme radikal dengan pemikiran radikal-libertarian dan radikal-kultural. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | This study discusses about feminism representation on the video clip and lyrics of Daya's song Sit Still, Look Pretty. The video clip’s visualization and supported by song lyrics are currently expressing the issue of feminism. The purpose of this study is to describe and explain the form of feminism that are represented on the video clip and lyrics of the song Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty. This study using qualitative methods and John Fiske's semiotic analysis of television code. These codes consist of three levels, there are the level of reality, the level of representation and the level of ideology. The results of this study indicate that the video clip and lyrics of the song Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty contain a representation of the feminism movement. The video clip and lyrics of this song explain how women are constructed and controlled by the patriarchal system. And how women fight against it. Based on the level of reality, the ideology of feminism on the video clip and lyrics of the song Daya – Sit Still, Look Pretty can be seen through the code of appearance, environment, behavior, gestures, and expressions. Based on the level of representation, feminism ideology is represented through camera codes, lighting, settings, characters and song lyrics. Meanwhile, based on the ideological level, radical feminism can be found with radical-libertarian and radical-cultural thinking. |
