| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | ABSTRAK Penelitian ini berjudul “Proses Abreviasi Istilah Covid-19 Pada Surat Kabar Radar Purbalingga Edisi Oktober-Desember 2020”.Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses dan jenis abreviasi terkait istilah Covid-19 dalam surat kabar Radar Purbalingga Edisi Oktober - Desember 2020. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah artikel berita yang terdapat dalam Radar Purbalingga di media cetak edisi Oktober-Desember 2020. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan penelitian ini ialah metode simak.Dalam metode simak terdapat teknik dasar dan teknik lanjutan.Kemudian teknik lanjutan yang digunakan yaitu teknik catat.Metode analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah padan referensial.Penyajian hasil analisis data penelitian ini dilakukan secara informal. Hasil penelitian ini adalah, Jenis abreviasi terdapat empat bentuk yaitu singkatan ada 10 data terdiri dari PDP (Pasien Dalam Pemantauan), ODR (Orang Dalam Risiko), OTG (Orang Tanpa Gejala), APD (Alat Pelindung Diri), PPKM (Pemberlakuan Pembatasan Kegiatan Masyarakat), PSBB (Pembatasan Sosial Berskala Besar),ODP (Orang Dalam Pantauan), PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), WFH (Work From Home), WFO (Work From Office) kemudian bentuk kontraksi ada 1 yaitu Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019), lalu bentuk akronim ada 4 terdiri dari Prokes, Dinkes, Nakes, Fakes, yang terakhir bentuk lambang huruf ada 2 terdiri dari 4M dan 3T. Dari jumlah data tersebut, data singkatan paling banyak digunakan karena proses pembentukanya sederhana dan mudah dibanding proses yang lain. Kemudian, proses abreviasi yang ditemukan dalam Radar Purbalingga berupa pengekalan huruf pertama tiap komponen, pengekalan suku pertama tiap komponen, pengekalan suku pertama komponen pertama selanjutnya, pengekalan suku kata pertama dari suatu kata. Pengekalan huruf dan suku dengan varian, pengekalan suku pertama komponen pertama serta huruf pertama komponen selanjutnya, pengekalan suku pertama komponen pertama dan ketiga serta pengekalan huruf pertama komponen kedua sekaligus pelesapan konjungsi, pengekalan empat huruf pertama komponen pertama serta pengekalan suku terakhir komponen kedua. Pengekalan yang dihasilkan dalam penelitian ini merupakan pengekalan yang beraturan karena kosa kata yang didapatkan mudah dipahami. | Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | SUMMARY This research is entitled "The Abbreviation Process of the Covid-19 Term in Radar Purbalingga Newspaper October-December 2020 Edition". This research is a type of qualitative descriptive research. This study aims to describe the process and type of abbreviation related to the term Covid-19 in the newspaper Radar Purbalingga October - December 2020 edition. The data sources for this research are news articles contained in Radar Purbalingga in the October - December 2020 edition of the print media. The method used in this study is the referential method. In the referential method there are basic techniques and advanced techniques. Then the advanced technique used is the note-taking technique. The data analysis method in this study is referential equivalent. The presentation of the results of this research data analysis is carried out informally. The results of this study are, there are four types of abbreviations, namely the abbreviation there are 10 data consisting of PDP (Patients Under Monitoring), ODR (People At Risk), OTG (People Without Symptoms), PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), PPKM (Enforcement of Activity Restrictions). Community), PSBB (Large-Scale Social Restrictions), ODP (Insider Monitoring), PCR (Polymerase Chain Reaction), WFH (Work From Home), WFO (Work From Office) then there is 1 form of contraction, namely Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019), then there are 4 acronym forms consisting of Prokes, Health Office, Healthcare, Health Facilities, the last one is the form of letter symbols consisting of 4M and 3T. From the amount of data, the abbreviation data is the most widely used because the formation process is simple and easy compared to other processes. Then, the abbreviation process found in Radar Purbalingga is in the form of preserving the first letter of each component, preserving the first syllable of each component, preserving the first syllable of the next component, and preserving the first syllable of a word. Perpetuation of letters and syllables with variants, perpetuation of the first syllable of the first component and the first letter of the next component, preservation of the first syllable of the first and third components and preservation of the first letter of the second component as well as the elimination of conjunctions, preservation of the first four letters of the first component and preservation of the last syllable of the second component. The retention produced in this study is a regular perpetuation because the vocabulary obtained is easy to understand.
