| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | Effect of probiotic supplementation on egg production and clutch size in laying hens in the production period'. This research was conducted at Experimental Farm, Faculty of Animal Husbandry, Jenderal Sudirman University. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and efficient level of probiotic promix on egg production and clutch size of laying hens. The study was conducted using an experimental method, using a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 5 repetitions. Data analysis with analysis of variance. The treatment given was control feed (P0) with the addition of 0.5% probiotic (P1), 1% probiotic (P2), 1.5% probiotic (P3) in the basal diet. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0.05) on egg production and clutch size of laying hens. The average results of the study on egg production were obtained with 80 laying hens for 8 weeks PO (184.2 eggs ± 20.4), P1 (205.6 eggs ± 5.3), P2 (204.6 eggs ± 11, 3) and P3 (190.8 ± 24.8), the average HDP and HHP results during the 8 weeks of the study were PO (76.5% ± 8.5), P1 (85.5% ± 2.2), P2 (84.5% ± 5.4) and P3 (79.4% ± 10.3) and Clutch size PO (12.5 days ± 7.2), P1 (19.4 days ± 4.6), P2 (20.6 days ± 10.8) and P3 (18.3 days ± 11.8). In this study, it can be concluded that the effect of giving probiotics up to a level of 1.5% resulted in egg production and relatively the same clutch size. |
