Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh tingkat kepadatan kandang terhadap jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit ayam broiler strain Ross dan mengetahui tingkat kepadatan kandang closed house yang optimal bagi ayam broiler strain Ross bila ditinjau dari status hematologisnya. Materi penelitian terdiri dari 200 ekor DOC strain Ross yang dipelihara selama 35 hari di kandang closed house mini dengan diberi pakan pada periode pre-starter, pakan periode starter, pakan periode finisher yang diproduksi oleh PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, air minum yang diberi secara ad libitum, peralatan dan bahan kimia untuk analisis darah ayam broiler. Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode eksperimental. Rancangan penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 5 perlakuan yaitu T1 (8 ekor/m2), T2 (9 ekor/m2), T3 (10 ekor/m2), T4 (11 ekor/m2), dan T5 (12 ekor/m2) dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali. Data penelitian yang diperoleh dianalisi menggunakan analisis variansi (ANAVA). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan jumlah eritrosit ayam broiler strain Ross sebesar T1 (2,46±0,27 juta/mm3), T2 (2,55±0,18 juta/mm3), T3 (2,67±0,34 juta/mm3), T4 (2,24±0,19 juta/mm3), dan T5 (2,30±0,20 juta/mm3), kadar hemoglobin sebesar T1 (7,35±0,62 gr/dL), T2 (7,57±0,37 gr/dL), T3 (7,07±0,66 gr/dL), T4 (7,30±0,70 gr/dL), dan T5 (7,27±0,61 gr/dL), serta nilai hematokrit sebesar T1 (25,75±2,62%), T2 (25,25±1,89%), T3 (25,25±3,40%), T4 (23,75±2,06%), dan T5 (23,75±2,36%). Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kepadatan kandang closed house berpengaruh tidak nyata (P>0.05) terhadap jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, dan nilai hematokrit ayam broiler strain Ross. Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil yaitu tingkat kepadatan kandang sebesar 11 - 12 ekor/m2 menyebabkan ayam broiler terkena anemia makrositik, sehingga kepadatan kandang closed house yang optimal dan memberikan kenyamanan bagi ayam broiler strain Ross bila ditinjau dari jumlah eritrosit, kadar hemoglobin, nilai hematokrit yaitu sebesar 10 ekor/m2.

Inggris)The purpose of this research was to examine the effect of stocking density levels on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and hematocrit value of Strain Ross broilers and to determine optimal density level of closed house for strain Ross broilers when viewed from their haematological status. The research material consisted of 200 DOC strain Ross maintained for 35 days in closed house cage and the broiler chicken was fed with the pre-starter period feed, starter period feed, finisher period feed produced by PT. Charoen Pokphand Indonesia, drinking water ad libitum, equipment and chemicals for blood analysis of broiler chickens. The research was conducted using experimental methods. The research design used was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments: T1 (8 birds/m2), T2 (9 birds/m2), T3 (10 birds/m2), T4 (11 birds/m2), and T5 (12 birds/m2) and the each treatment will be repeated for 4 times. The result obtained were analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA). Based on the research results, the number of broiler chicken erythrocyte strain Ross are T1 (2.46 ± 0.27 million/mm3), T2 (2.55 ± 0.18 million/mm3), T3 (2.67 ± 0.34 million/mm3), T4 (2.24 ± 0.19 million/mm3), and T5 (2.30 ± 0.20 million/mm3), the hemoglobin levels are T1 (7.35 ± 0.62 gr/dL), T2 (7.57 ± 0.37 gr/dL), T3 (7.07 ± 0.66 gr/dL), T4 (7.30 ± 0.70 gr/dL), and T5 (7.27 ± 0, 61 gr/dL), and the hematocrit values are T1 (25.75 ± 2.62%), T2 (25.25 ± 1.89%), T3 (25.25 ± 3.40%), T4 (23, 75 ± 2.06%), and T5 (23.75 ± 2.36%). The results of the analysis of variance showed that the stocking density of the closed house had no significant effect (P>0.05) on the number of erythrocytes, hemoglobin levels, and the hematocrit value of the strain Ross broiler chickens. The conclusion is the stocking density at 11 – 12 birds/m2 causes broiler chickens exposed macrocytic anemia, so the optimal level of stocking density and provide comfort for broiler strain Ross based on the condition of the number of erythrocytes, the hemoglobin level, and the hematocrit value is 10 birds/m2.
