| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis apakah ada interaksi suhu dan lama waktu thawing terhadap motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa kambing Boer. Materi yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu 27 straw semen beku yang berasal dari kambing Boer yang didapatkan dari Dinas Perikanan dan Peternakan Kabupaten Banyumas, eosin nigrosin, dan air.Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan pola faktorial dengan perlakuan suhu thawing 32oC, 37oC, 42oC dan perlakuan lama waktu thawing 15 detik, 30 detik dan 45 detik sehingga terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan dan diulang 3 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa suhu thawing (A) berpengaruh nyataterhadap motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa kambing Boer. Lama waktuthawing (B) berpengaruh nyata terhadap motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa kambing Boer. Suhu dan lama waktu thawing (AXB) berpengaruh nyata terhadap motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitasspermatozoa kambing Boer. Terdapat interaksi antara suhu dan lama waktu thawing terhadap motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas spermatozoa kambing boer. Rataan motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas terbaik yaitu pada interaksi antara suhu 37oC dan lama waktu thawing 30 detik. Suhu 37 oC dengan lama waktu thawing yang terlalu cepat dan terlalu lama menghasikan nilai motilitas yang rendah. Motilitas, viabilitas dan abnormalitas semen kambing boer pada semua suhu dan lama waktu thawing masih layak untuk selanjutnya dilakukan Inseminasi Buatan (IB). |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The study was to analyze whether there is an interaction between temperature and duration of thawing time on the motility, viability and abnormality of Boer goat sperm. The materials used in the study were 27 frozen semen straws from Boer goat obtained from the Banyumas Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Service, eosin nigrosin, and water. The study method used was a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a factorial pattern with a thawing temperature 32oC, 37oC, 42oC and duration of thawing15 seconds, 30 seconds and 45 seconds so there were 9 combinations of treatments and repeated 3 times. The study showed that thawing temperature (A) had a significant effect on the motility, viability and abnormality of Boer goat sperm. The duration of thawing (B) had a significant effect on the motility, viability and abnormality of Boer goat sperm. Temperature and duration of thawing (AXB) had a significant effect on the motility, viability and abnormality of Boer goat sperm. There is an interaction between temperature and length of thawing time on motility, viability and abnormalities of boer goat spermatozoa. The best mean of motility, viability and abnormality is the interaction between 37oC temperature and 30 seconds of thawing time. A temperature of 37oC with a thawing time that is too fast and too long produces a low motility value. The motility, viability and abnormalities of Boer goat semen at all temperatures and thawing time were still feasible for further Artificial Insemination (IB). |
