| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkar, panjang, dan volume skrotum terhadap konsentrasi dan motilitas spermatozoa pada Kambing Pejantan Peranakan Etawah (PE) telah dilaksanakan di Kelompok Ternak Kambing Peranakan Etawah Sato Guno, Kecamatan Gumelar, Kabupaten Banyumas. Materi yang digunakan kambing Pejantan Peranakan Etawah (PE) sebanyak 4 ekor dengan umur 2 tahun serta seperangkat alat penyadapan dan pengukuran konsentrasi dan kualitas spermatozoa, serta metline untuk mengukur lingkar dan panjang skrotum. Metode penelitian yang digunakan metode eksperimen yang dirancang ke dalam 2 (dua) kelompok variabel pengamatan, yaitu variabel bebas (X) berupa ukuran lingkar dan panjang serta volume skrotum kambing PE, dan variabel tidak bebas (Y) berupa konsentrasi dan motilitas spermatozoa. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan lingkar, panjang, dan volume skrotum memiliki bentuk hubungan yang sangat nyata (P<0,01) dengan konsentrasi dan motilitas spermatozoa masing- masing dengan koefisien determinasi (r 2 ) sebesar 0,8165 dan 0,8293 serta koefisien korelasi r =+ 0,90 dan + 0,91. Disimpulkan bahwa Lingkar (LS), panjang (PS), dan volume skrotum (VS) secara simultan dapat dimanfaatkaan sebagai indikator yang baik untuk menduga kualitas spermatozoa khususnya konsentrasi (KS) dan motilitas spermatozoa (MS) masing-masing dengan mengikuti persamaan KS = -71636 + 3178 LS + 1095 PS - 32187 VS dan MS = -994 + 45.52 LS + 15.48 PS – 458.9 VS. |
| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between scrotal circumference, length, and volume on the concentration and motility of spermatozoa in Etawah Crossbreed (PE) Goats. This study was conducted in the Sato Guno Etawah Crossbreed Goat Group, Gumelar District, Banyumas Regency. The materials used were 4 Etawah Crossbreed (PE) goats with the age of 2 years and a set of tapping tools and measuring the concentration and quality of spermatozoa, as well as a metline to measure the circumference and length of the scrotum. The research method used was an experimental method designed into 2 (two) groups of observational variables, namely the independent variable (X) in the form of circumference and length and scrotal volume of PE goats, and the dependent variable (Y) in the form of concentration and motility of spermatozoa. The results of the regression analysis showed that simultaneously the circumference, length, and volume of the scrotum had a very significant relationship (P<0.01) with the concentration and motility of spermatozoa with a coefficient of determination (r2) of 0.8165 and 0.8293 respectively. correlation coefficient r = + 0.90 and + 0.91. It was concluded that the circumference (LS), length (PS), and scrotal volume (VS) can simultaneously be used as good indicators to estimate the quality of spermatozoa, especially the concentration (KS) and motility of spermatozoa (MS) respectively by following the equation KS = - 71636 + 3178 LS + 1095 PS - 32187 VS and MS = -994 + 45.52 LS + 15.48 PS – 458.9 VS. |
