| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) dan tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.) terhadap kecernaan serat dan protein kasar pada pakan ternak domba yang diberi kromium organik. Penelitian dilaksanakan selama 5 bulan dari bulan Juli sampai Desember 2020 di Kandang Domba Gunung Tugel dan Laboratorium Ilmu Bahan Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Jenderal Soedirman, Purwokerto. Materi yang digunakan adalah domba ekor tipis jantan muda sebanyak 18 ekor dengan rataan bobot awal 15 ± 2 kg. Pakan basal terdiri dari rumput lapang 60% dan konsentrat 40% yang diberikan setiap pagi dan sore hari. Rancangan percobaan yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan total 3 (tiga) perlakuan dan 6 (enam) ulangan dengan perlakuan yaitu R0 (pakan basal + 1,5 ppm mikro mineral Kromium organik), R1 (R0 + 250 ppm tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum)), dan R2 (R0 + 3,6% tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.)). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rataan kecernaan serat kasar tertinggi pada R1 (R0 + 250 ppm tepung bawang putih) yaitu 76,06 ± 2,22% dan kecernaan protein kasar tertinggi yaitu 84,00 ± 2,28%. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukkan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap kecernaan serat kasar (KcSK) dan kecernaan protein kasar (KcPK). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa (1) Suplementasi tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) pada pakan domba berkromium organik mampu meningkatkan kecernaan serat dan protein kasar. (2) Suplementasi tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.) pada pakan domba berkromium organik memberikan hasil yang sama dengan pakan kontrol. |

Inggris) | The study aims to determine the effect of garlic flour (Allium sativum) and seaweed flour (Gracilaria sp.) against the digestibility of crude fiber and crude protein on the feed of sheep given organic Chromium. The study was conducted for 5 months from July until December 2020 in Gunung Tugel Farm and Feedstuff Laboratory, Faculty of Animal Science, Jenderal Soedirman University Purwokerto. The material used is 18 young thin-tailed rams with an initial weight of 15 ± 2 kg. The Basal feed consists were 60% forage (grass land) and 40% of concentrate that is given in every morning and evening. The experimental design that used is Completely Randomized Design with a total of 3 (three) treatments and 6 (six) replications with treatment that is R0 (The basal feed + 1.5 ppm of Chromium Organic Minerals), R1 (R0 + 250 ppm of garlic flour (Allium sativum), and R2 (R0 + 3.6% of seaweed flour (Gracilaria sp.). The results of the study showed that the highest digestibility rate of crude fiber is R1 ((R0 + 250 ppm of garlic flour (Allium sativum) that is 76.06 ± 2.22% and the highest digestibility of crude protein that is 84.00 ± 2.28%. Analyze of variance showed that the treatment of both variable had a significant effect (P<0.05) against digestibility of crude fiber and digestibility of crude protein. Based on the study, it concluded that (1) The supplementation of garlic flour (Allium sativum) on the mineral Chromium organical feed is enable to increase the digestibility of crude fiber and crude protein. (2) The supplementation of seaweed flour (Gracilaria sp.) on the mineral Chromium organic feed gives the same result as the feed control. |
