Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia)Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh pakan domba berkromium organik yang disuplementasi tepung rumput laut (Gracilaria sp.) dan tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) terhadap konsumsi serat dan protein kasar. Materi penelitian yang digunakan adalah domba ekor tipis dengan bobot badan 15±2 kg. Pakan perlakuan terdiri atas tepung rumput laut (Glaciaria sp.), tepung bawang putih (Allium sativum) dan Kromium Organik (Cr). Pakan basal yang diberikan sebanyak 4,5% (dalam bahan kering) yang terdiri atas 70% hijauan (rumput lapang) dan 30% konsentrat (nutrifeed, roti afkir, pollard, tepung indigofera, urea, bungkil kelapa sawit, bungkil kelapa, limbah soun, mineral kapur, dan garam) serta air minum. Metode penelitian adalah eksperimental menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Pakan perlakuan yang diujicobakan yaitu R0= Pakan Basal + 1,5 ppm Kromium Organik (Cr); R1= R0 + 250 ppm Tepung Bawang Putih; R2= R0 + 3,6 % Tepung Rumput Laut. Masing-masing perlakuan diulang sebanyak 6 kali. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi serat kasar dengan rataan R0 = 176,66 ± 28,77; R1 = 186,83 ± 20,49; R2 = 196,42 ± 35,74 (g/ekor/hari). Perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap konsumsi protein kasar dengan rataan R0= 101,07 ± 10,11; R1= 92,39 ± 10,94; dan R2= 104,02 ± 15,07 (g/ekor/hari). Kesimpulannya, suplementasi 3,6 % tepung Rumput Laut dan 250 ppm tepung bawang putih dalam pakan domba berkromium organik 1,5 ppm tidak meningkatkan konsumsi serat maupun protein kasar.

Inggris)This research aims to study the effect of organic chromium sheep feed supplemented with seaweed flour (Gracilaria sp.) and garlic powder (Allium sativum) on consumption of fiber and crude protein. The research material used was thin tail sheep with a body weight of 15 ± 2 kg. The treatment feed consisted of seaweed flour (Glaciaria sp.), Garlic flour (Allium sativum) and Organic Chromium (Cr). The basal feed given was 4,5% (in dry matter) consisted of 70% forage (field grass) and 30% concentrate (nutrifeed, expired bread, pollard, indigofera flour, urea, palm oil cake, coconut cake, glass noodles waste, limestone, and salt) and drinking water. The research method was experimental using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The experimental feed which was tested were R0= Basal feed + 1,5 ppm Organic Chromium (Cr); R1= R0 + 250 ppm Garlic Flour; R2= R0 + 3,6 % Seaweed Flour. Each treatment was repeated 6 times. The results showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P>0,05) on crude fiber consumption (g/head/day) with an average of R0 = 176,66 ± 28,77; R1 = 186,83 ± 20,49; R2 = 189,42 ± 35,74. The treatment had no significant effect (P>0,05) on crude protein consumption (g/head/day) with an average of R0= 101,07 ± 10,11; R1= 92,39 ± 10,94; and R2= 104,02 ± 15,07. In conclusion, the supplementation of 3,6 % Seaweed Flour and 250 ppm of garlic flour in 1,5 ppm organic chromium sheep feed is not increase the consumption of fiber or crude protein.
