| Abstrak (Bhs. Indonesia) | Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh lama penyimpanan spermatozoa pada suhu 5oC pada pengencer skim kuning telur terhadap motilitas dan fertilitas spermatozoa ayam pelung. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) untuk motilitas dan Rancangan Acak Lengkap untuk fertilitas (RAL) dengan perlakuan (P0= lama simpan 0 menit, P1= lama simpan 30 menit, P2= lama simpan 60 menit, P3= lama simpan 90 menit, P4= lama simpan 120 menit) pada suhu 5oC dan masing-masing perlakuan diulang 5 kali. Materi yang digunakan semen ayam pelung 2 ml dari 10 ekor dengan umur 1-2 tahun dan 50 ekor ayam niaga petelur dengan umur 81-82 minggu. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis variansi, hasil analisis variansi menunjukan perlakuan berpengaruh nyata (P<0,05) terhadap motilitas spermatozoa kemudian diuji lanjut menggunakan orthogonal polynomial menunjukan pengaruh sangat nyata secara linier (P<0,05). Persentase motilitas yang dihasilkan perlakuan P0, P1, P2, P3, dan P4 berada diatas 60% sehingga layak digunakan untuk IB. Hasil terbaik di tunjukan oleh perlakuan P0 (lama simpan 0 menit) sebesar 93%. Data motilitas spermatozoa membentuk garis linier dengan persamaan Y = 92,08 – 0,25 X dan koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 89,17%. Persentase rata-rata fertilitas yang dihasilkan pada perlakuan P0, P1, P2, P3, dan P4 hanya 29% sehingga tidak layak untuk digunakan IB. Hasil analisis variansi menunjukan perlakuan tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) terhadap fertilitas spermatozoa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa pengaruh lama penyimpanan dapat menurunkan tingkat motilitas, tetapi lama penyimpanan 120 menit masih layak digunakan untuk IB, namun tidak berlaku terhadap fertilitas spermatozoa ayam pelung karena memiliki persentase yang relatif sama. |

| Abtrak (Bhs. Inggris) | The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of spermatozoa storage time at 5oC in egg yolk skim diluent on spermatozoa motility and fertility of pelung rooster. This experiment used a randomized block design (RBD) for motility and a completely randomized design for fertility (CRD) with treatment (P0 = storage time 0 minute, P1 = storage time 30 minutes, P2 = storage time 60 minutes, P3 = storage time 90 minutes, P4 = storage time 120 minutes) at 5oC and each treatment was repeated 5 times. The materials used were 2 ml pelung rooster semen from 10 pelung rooster aged 1-2 years and 50 commercial layer hens aged 81-82 weeks. The data obtained were then analyzed using analysis of variance, the results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had a significant effect (P<0.05) on spermatozoa motility and then further tested using orthogonal polynomials showed a very significant linear effect (P<0.05). The percentage of motility produced by treatment P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4 is above 60% so it is suitable for AI. The best results are shown by P0 treatment (0 minute storage time) of 93%. The spermatozoa motility data forms a linear line with the equation Y = 92.08 - 0.25 X and the coefficient of determination (R2) of 89.17%. The average percentage of fertility produced in treatment P0, P1, P2, P3, and P4 is only 29% so it is not suitable for AI treatment. The results of the analysis of variance showed that the treatment had no significant effect (P> 0.05) on the fertility of spermatozoa. Based on the results of this study it can be concluded that the effect of storage time can reduce the level of motility, but storage time of 120 minutes is still suitable for AI, but does not apply to the spermatozoa fertility of pelung rooster because it has a relatively the same percentage. |
